      New member 35yr old guy

Hello.. I am a new member. I am a 35 year old man. I have been taking medicine for bipolar disorder 1. About 10yrs ago when I was not on meds I got hooked on reading Carlos Castaneda. I am pretty sure I had one Lucid Dream. I remember every night I would imagine myself going from the ground to the atmosphere then out to space connected to the ground by a string of light. (Don’t ask me why I did this it just seemed to put me in a relaxed state)
The one time I think I lucid dreamed was I remember being in a relaxed state as mentioned above.... Then I heard this loud buzzing or zipping sound. Then I remember walking up to a woman (that for some reason appeared to be friendly or like an angel) I remember being aware and I asked her a question. She looked at me in a very shocked manner, like I was invading her dimension. She zoomed away, and that was the last time I had a dream where I assume it was Lucid. It was at least very awesome and would love to get there again. Maybe even talk to her again. I felt like she could give me guidance.

I am on Lamatrogine, Seroquel and zoloft. The Seroquel really knocks me out at night. Has anyone every succesfully had a Lucid dream on Seroquel?

BTW I have tried going off meds before, and I am just a mess.. So I am not trying that anymore.

      Hello welcome!
The thing you said about the string of light, I'm sure I've read about that, you may have been astral traveling, (if you believe in it). I read about in one of Sylvia Browne's books, they're very interesting. She says that the string of light connects your spirit to your sleeping body.

Now I remember why that technique always put me in a relaxed state... I can remember just hovering above the atmosphere just looking at the beautiful blue of the earth..

Funny thing is I can't remember the last time I used that relaxation technique.. I'll try it again tonight. See if I get back to doing it.

I remember always thinking to look at my hands after I fall asleep. (that what was used in the Carlos Casteneda book). I never did remember seeing hands though.
