I've had two lucid dreams in the last 7 weeks or so, and they've been the first two since I was a child (I used to get them naturally on rare occasions but didn't really think twice about them). |

It is rather common for people to become lucid without directly trying. I often have dreams where I become lucid, but for no real reason. Its as if subconsciously I know I am not awake. |
|
All of mine that arent false awakenings have been like that. I just think woah I am dreaming and start to move around. My first one evaporated quickly because I was laying down and I tried to stand up, since then I have been fine. They do not last a long time but long enough to mess around. |

Task of the Month: Stand on my head[]
When they start to evaporate what I do is I let myself wake up, but then go right back into the dream. The technique is called dream chaining. Check out the DEILD tutorial in our tutorial section for how to do this. You can find a link below in my signature, and feel free to ask me if you have any questions about it, I do it all the time. |
