New to the forums, but not to dreams :)

      Hey everyone!

First off, I am really glad that i found this site, as it has the right info i needed.
I'm 18 years old and I've been impressed by the dreaming world for years. I've done a dream journal a year or two ago and my dream recall was good, but then eventualy gave up because lack of sleep and not much success. I've started again like 4 days ago, and seems like my recall is back. I am doing a new journal and checking for signs from my previous one.

Today i've recalled 6 (or possibly 7, it may have been a seperate dream) even though i slept for like 11 hours I usualy sleep for 5 to 6 hours during school, which is a big problem and mostly doesn't get me any recall, especially cause i rush to turn off the alarm 3 meters away from bed and can't remember a thing i was dreaming. If i have it next to my bed, I fall back asleep and miss school, so I am in a bit of a situation here.

I haven't been lucid since 2 years ago. Is it possible that i was, but don't remember, just like the normal dreams? I've said to myself many times, that i will get lucid and remember the dream, but no success.

I have also tried getting lucid with what i called keeping my brain on while my body is asleep. I did that while lying on my back, since i fall asleep harded like that. I read here that it is officialy called WILD. I couldn't succeed because i lied there for around half an hour with my body completely numb and my eyes scrolling around, but my brain wouldn't let me go to sleep. I just couldn't get to a dreaming state, so after 30 to 45 minutes i just woke up like i just raised from the dead and then turned to the side and fell asleep in a minute. I also tried WBTB once, got up for 60 minutes and went back to bed, but no lucidity.

      Tips are appreciated ^^

Well, if you're trying to WILD when you first go to sleep, you need to change when you do it, because you don't dream then. For the first few hours of sleep, you aren't dreaming (at least nothing really tangible.)

School shouldn't effect you too much, I had plenty of lucid dreams in college. Usually on days that I had a late class or no class in the morning though. I would try moving your LD attempts to the weekend if you have all morning classes.

I do have all morning classes which i need to get up at 5am. I am indeed a bit more interested in WILD since i have a sense that my recall won't be good at a 5 hour sleep and an instant rush from my bed to the table when the alarm rings. I have no idea how to fix this, since i'm a really sleepy person and if i have the alarm next to my bed so i don't move too much and forget the dreams, i just instantly fall asleep (usualy with my mobile in my hand).

I've done some more research on the forums and found out that it takes around 90 minutes to get into the REM state if you are trying to sleep in the evening. I don't find the problem to stay still, even tho i'm gonna try yoshi's moving technique. I just started doing Reality checks, so i don't really count on a DILD, but it's possible

Yesterday i tried going to sleep thinking about reality checks and i did Yoshi's dry spell thingy, but since i'm doing reality checks for around 3 or 4 days, i can't expect mutch. I'll continue trying, as i will succeed sooner or later also after 4 hours of sleep, i woke up and was awake for around 15 minutes, but i was not fully awake and had trouble with WILD, since i wasn't tired and i kept getting itches which i never get when i try WILD at evenings. Also i had a lot of noises comming from other rooms which kept distracting me, so I just went to sleep normaly.

Any tips on getting a WILD? I'm more focused on that and i've been loosing the fear of unknown feelings when my body gets totaly numb, but so far i couldn't get the "transition". So far I was just totaly paralized and had those images flashing, then i almoast blacked out. I guess i was too sleepy ^^

      Hey!
I lately found out that almost everything makes sense to me when i am dreaming, so it's really hard to "see" something odd that would make me lucid, unless i do a RC which i never did (yet). Before i go to sleep, i keep reminding myself to do it and i really believe it, but at the end i don't.

How long did it usualy take for you guys to start doing RC in dreams?
