      Cool!!

I've read some posts here on the forum about what these dreams are. Now i know that i've allready done this. I've been doing this since i was 11 or 12. Because my grandmother died. But i can't control it entirely. I just talk to her. Also the weirdest thing is in my dreams i see some events that happen in the future. Is this also lucid dreaming? Some peeps say i'm paranormal, because my dad is also paranormal. Does anyone know here an anwer?

Lucid dreaming is simply knowing that you are dreaming and being able to control to some extent what you dream.

As for seeing the future, that is not lucid dreaming. It might be precognition, though I'm not expert about that subject.

      Welcome to the forums btw.

LOL. I feel like the pre-lucid monger...

I don't mean to be, but every dreamer that thinks he or she is truely lucid dreaming needs to realize there are two forms of lucid dreaming. I only tell this to people, becuase most people believe they are lucid dreaming, and they are really just PRE-lucid.

I clarify this, becuase pre-lucid dreamers are having these dreams that they think are lucid, but don't understand that true lucid dreams are mind-blowing! Pre-lucid dreams are nothing compared to the vividness, the clarity, the emotional feeling, and the ability to tap into the unconscience. And I'm only replying becuase Squall states:

"Lucid dreaming is simply knowing that you are dreaming and being able to control to some extent what you dream."

But this isn't completely true. It isn't simply knowing. Or having control. A pre-lucid dreamer THINKS they know they are asleep, but wouldn't jump off the Empire State Building for fun--for fear of death. Even though your dream ego may casual point out, "Hmmm. I'm dreaming. Cool!"--in all actuality, the majority of dreamers are in a PRE-lucid state. It can be hard to explain--but there is a major difference.

You see, when I tell people I lucid dream, they say, "Oh ya, I've been doing that for a while." There is NOWAY they are really lucid dreaming. People that truely lucid dream don't casually let something like that out. We are a rare group, that have gone through an almost born-again experience.

One of the main differences between pre-lucid and lucid is (like stated above) fear of bodily harm will stop you from doing certain things. Also, a big difference is the clarity. In a pre-lucid dream, at the moment your dream ego says, "Oh, I'm dreaming." nothing different happens--the dream continues on, may change a tad, and you may feel the control has shifted into your hands...but in a truely lucid dream, the moment your dream ego and waking ego collide you will have an unbelievable feeling, so incredible you won't understand it, and you will most likely wake up from this. (your brain, subconscience, unconscience, id, ego, superego ALL want to wake you up from this. It's as if you found a secret door, and they just kicked you out)

Anyway, I hope you understand. If you do not, I would love to explain further. Visit my Lucid board @ http://groups-beta.google.com/group/Luciddreamer

      Take care all.

I know what you mean. Because most peepz fair that it's for real. That if they jump from the empire state building they shall die. I had a dream last night. I don't think it's lucid. But i walked through walls :s pretty weird if i may say so But it was cool. That's something for sure!!

Yes, I have had a handfull of "no clipping" (inside joke) dreams. Dreams where I could walk through dreams. They usually occur in non-lucid dreams...it sure is wierd. Sometimes I fail to get through, and bounce of, or get violently rejected have way through--strange.

Well, I guess I'll be the first Dream Guide to welcome you to DV! I hope you enjoy yourself here. It's always nice to have another natural (if you consider yourself one) and I hope you can share some of your experience with others here. If you have any questions on LD control or anything else feel free to search around the site or post your question. If you need anything pertaining to the forum itself (ie. how to get certain things to work), you can PM myself or one of the other DGs, Mods, Administrators, friendly ppl, etc. and we'll try to point you in the right direction.

Also, the way I feel about lucidity, is along with Squall's definition, that lucidity is simply becoming aware that you're dreaming. Now, there are different stages of lucidity, which Dream_Quake brought up (low level vs. high level). All of mine have been short, but the first two were amazing and I was content to simply experience it. And strangely enough, I had a dream a couple of days ago where I was able to walk through things. I'm still kicking myself for not becoming lucid, but it was still cool to me

      Sweet Lucid Dreams!

Did you have to type in idspispopd or idclip before your noclipping dreams?
Just because you aren't paranoid. Don't mean they're not after you.
