Thread: new, thought i'd say hi, and a few thoughts

well, i kinda stumbled upon LD recently. i've known about it, but always been a little freaked out about it. i've had one LD and i wanted to wake up. i was a kid. but i'm still kinda freaked out about what happens if i start manifesting evil beings and crazy stuff like that. i guess that's my one fear. but i do think it'd be a trip.

at any rate, to hell with the fear. i think LDing could be cool if i can keep out the scary stuff and make all kinds of good things happen. i wonder if anyone had problems making evil stuff show up?

i've also had sleep paralysis, and it used to happen to me 3 or 4 times a week. i finally went to a sleep specialist because i thought it was a little weird, and they didn't find anything abnormal about me. but it's some fascinating stuff.

i guess i'm just running all over the place with my thoughts. i just want to be a cool member i guess. be accepted. friends are cool, even on a lucid dreaming website.

Hello! welcome to the forum. Im sure there are lots of people who could help you wiht lucid dreaming and keep the scary stuff out of it. If im not mistaken, sleep apralsis coudl acctulyl help you enter your lucid dream eaiser. why dont you try making a post in gereral discussiosn abotu it, alot of people will anwser you questions there, so youll have lots of views and mehtods to choose from.

As for bringing up evil things, don't worry about it. The more you focus on bad things, the more likely they are to appear, so I'd just suggest not think about it. LDs are awesome and you just have to remember that when you're lucid, that is YOUR dream to control. If a monster appears, make it go away or fight it or just whatever. As long as you keep a positive outlook you'll be fine
