New here and saying my Hello's

      Hi,

Just thought I'd say hello here. I've been looking around the boards the last few days and think it's a fantastic site, can't believe how many posts and messages there are. Kept me happy looking around for a good few hours the first night

I'm not sure exactly how I got here, we got a laptop just before xmas and since than I haven't used our old computer as much until earlier this week when I went on there and was looking around the favourites list and found myself here as I'd had the site bookmarked. I don't remember bookmarking it lol but I must of I guess, since my husband isn't interested in any of this.

I have had lucid dreams as long as I can remember, earliest I think was when I was a child experiencing a nightmare when I suddenly realized I was dreaming. As I got older I seemed to lose the ability to LD and it seemed to have gotten forgotten.

A couple years ago I got really interested in it and learned as much on it as I could. I was quite sucessful for a while, having a lucid dream once every 3-4 weeks, although I find it VERY hard to recognize when I'm dreaming. I have fairly good recall (or at least I think I do) and keep my dreams written down in an online journal at dreamjournal.org and have about 440 dreams recorded down in the last year and a half or so (not including the ones where I'd post 2 or 3 small dreams in one entry)

I've had about 1 lucid dream in the past year and am determined to get back into it again. I don't quite understand why it takes alot for me to realize I'm dreaming, I had a recent dream of my dog jumping the fence in our yard and as I worried about finding him, my husband in the dream told me not to worry that it was just a dream and that when we go back to sleep and wake up again, we'd realize it. Even than I didn't go lucid! lol

And it's a torment to me actually, not being able to go lucid easily, because I know how great it is. I have full and complete control in the best of my lucid dreams, being able to think of things and or people and have them just appear infront of me, being able to change things with just a thought. At first all I did was flew, but the last several dreams have really expanded from just simple flying. I want it again! lol

I feel as if there's just a small slight reason as to why I'm having so much trouble. I'm not sure why, but I'm sure if I can just figure it out, things will come so much easier. So I'm hoping to learn a little bit more from you all.

      Thanks for the welcome

I'm quite confident that with time and getting some other ideas from these boards that things will get easier for me. From what I've read so far it looks like a great board, makes me wish I'd found it sooner.

      Thanks Seeker

Unfortunately I don't know too many who are into their dreams like I am (which is kind of nice how I can come online and find others who share the same interest) but I know I'll be passing the address on when I can for sure.
