      Greetings!

Greetings! My real name is James, but I prefer the name Nakirush (as will be explained soon.) I'm 16 years old and I enjoy art, music, and MMORPGs.

I've had three lucid dreams in my life, but I never really knew what it was until I was ready a book recently. The character in this book had a lucid dream, more so a lucid coma, and had to control his dream to bring himself to conciousness.

That got me thinking, and I remembered having two controlled dreams in my life (once when I was 12, the other when I was 14.) Two months after reading the book, I had another lucid dream. Once again, I felt completely concious and could walk around and interact freely.

All three of my dreams have three major things in common:

      1) I am in a fantasy land known as Shizoor
      2) There is a beautiful elven girl who always attaches herself to me
      3) I am a wizard named Nakirush

In my dreams, the girl and I have explored Shizoor, fought a dragon, and even wed.

I always look forward to entering this world again, but I don't for long periods of time. And then I fear that I'll never return. These events and places have become a part of me.

Hopefully with the advice from this, I can return to Shizoor soon (Afterall, I have a fake wife to take care of. )

Well, just thought I'd introduce myself.

Thanks for taking the time to read this,

      Nakirush

Welcome to Dreamviews. Hopefully we can help reunite you with your 'wife' more often?

I had another lucid dream last night after trying some of the tutorials on the site.

In this dream, I was laying in my bed. I got up, walked to my window and looked outside. Instead of the woods that I normally see, there was Shizoor in all its glory. The rolling plains, the bubbling creeks, the mystic blue sky, and...the girl. I tried to open my door, but it was stuck. I pulled and I pulled, but nothing happened. Then a dragon swooped out of the sky and snatched the girl with its claws, then flew away. As the girl dissapeared over the hills, the sky quickly darkened and it began to rain and a thunderstorm rose.

Then I woke up. Now I HAVE to have another lucid dream to rescue the girl, hehe.

Is it common for a lucid dreamer to always see/experience one place?

      Thanks,

      Naki

I don't know if I'd call it "common" -- it doesn't happen with me, and based on the posts I read here I'd guess it doesn't happen for most of our members. But there are certainly others who have posted of similar "dreamscapes" that they return to time after time in their LDs. So you're definitely not alone.

Hmm, okay.. After reading around the main site, I discovered that Lucid Dreaming is classified as "simply dreaming while being aware you are dreaming."

I've had many of those. The four dreams I've stated about Shizoor, however, were controlled. Am I a semi-natural Lucid dreamer, then, because I realize I'm dreaming? Or do I only count the ones I've controlled?

      Thanks,

      Naki

You count them all as lucid. Dream control may or may not come along with it, although usually experienced LDers seem to have at least some level of control, if they want to.

Sounds like awesome material for a story or novel to me. And with the first-hand visual experiences you've had, you could probably have some superior descriptions too.

Your LDs sound very interesting, to say the least.
