Newbie question.

Hi all, a while ago I visited a different site about lucid dreaming, and that same night I had one. What I'm asking is, is it more like I had a dream about having a lucid dream? How can you tell the difference?

Since you said you had been reading about lucid dreaming the night before its possible that you just dreamt about it. Its not the only time that has happened. And if you are having a lucid dream everything becomes more vivid and clear. If it was a lucid dream then you would become aware that you were dreaming instead of just dreaming about it. Well, at the time i thought i was lucid dreaming. It was only occured to me tonight that i might have dreamed i was lucid, and the dream was months ago.

Lucid dream is when you are aware in your dream... contrary to just watching yourself do stuff....... basicly know you're dreaming... once you realize that this is a dream you literally become "lucid" conscious in your dream and then you can do whatever you want... because if you dont become "lucid" and realize that you are dreaming... you will be stuck with the impression that this is real and you will be dragged by the currents of the sleeping mind.
