Yesterday I dream that I was at my school gym and then I went to the bathroom when I looked at the mirror I was ASIAN , this is when i woke up tl;dr : why do you look different in a mirror if you are dreaming?

I'm new, so I'm not sure. But I've read it's generally a BAD idea to look in a mirror. You often look blurry or your face is really distorted and it can scare you and possibly end your dream. Not good for LD's.

Hi thanks for replying , but I wasn't specifically trying to LD , it just seemed weird because I read that someone else said the same thing on another forum so I'm asking what is the pattern behind this why is your face distorted in dreams?

Welcome to hydec. Good for you that you saw an Asian... it was easy to see nothing or to see a horrid monster... Who knows!!! If you can find stability in your lucids, it's OK to look at the mirror. I did many times and I even entered the mirror itself. I saw several odd mes You can get scared at first, but then, if you are deeper in lucidity you won't wake up. The only thing you want to avoid is staring at something. That is a guarantee premature wake up. You are going to love it around here! Drop me an MP if you like to chat!

I've actually looked at myself in a mirror, while lucid, and looked completely normal! Not good, when I was hoping to see something cool and distorted hydec!

I've looked in the mirror and realized i was dreaming once, i looked like myself. I became lucid and i couldn't breath, i then ended up waking up from drooling like a dog on my pillow lol.

Welcome to DV! I'm sure you will find many answers to your questions here. I can't discuss the mirror deal because I don't think I've ever looked into a mirror while I was dreaming. Just be patient and there will be more people to respond and help you out.
