How to remember signs that I'm dreaming

I havent had any lucid dreams yet I don't think.. but I've been reading up on them lately. I tried to remember some things that would tell me I'm dreaming, but last night I can remember 5 of my dreams. In some of those, gravity was not working (water was floating and I didn't think about why..) and I tried turning on light switches and they wouldn't go.. but it never occurred to me that I was dreaming what are ways to remember these things so i know when im dreamin

Whenever something odd happens while you are awake, stop and really consider whether or not you are dreaming. Think about what you where doing before this, whether or not this situation makes sense, and do a serious RC. Thats how I am learning it. Also, something strange doesn't have to happen for you to do those steps, just do them about ten times a day anyway.

MatrixMaster92 has a good point. However, an easier way to go, is have a set of dream signs. You can have as many as you want. I have dream signs. Like uh, lets say you see Mustangs in your dreams a lot. Have that as your dream sign, and RC every time you see one. But that's an example, so pick whatever you like. Go through your dream journal and look at what you see alot in dreams. Then, you'll be ready. Pick out the dream sign(s) of your choice, then RC everytime you see/hear that dream sign. So, that'd practically be MILDing. And a mantra helps too. Add that and it's a definant MILD.
