This is me dumping all my feelings onto the internet, you may not wish to read it. This is ok, I just didn't know what else to do.

First, let's start with fake names:

Me
Matt: My best friend
Jane: This girl I REALLY like
Mary: Jane's best friend
Nathan: Jane's guy friend.

So I like this girl, Jane. And I'm really good friends with her best friend, Mary. Nathan is Jane's guy friend but also a really good friend of mine. He has pissed her off recently and I don't know what to do, because I can't hate him, but I know what he did to her was wrong.

Now, I found out that Jane has a date with Matt, and I didn't know what to think at first. My reactions probably were similar to this:

1) Holy shit it's Matt.
2) Why Matt? What the hell! I actually care for her! He just thinks she's hot!
3) I would travel to the ends of the earth for her, if she only ask. He probably wouldn't fill her water bottle.

Oh hold on, a prologue is needed. So Jane's friend Mary is not in any of her classes anymore. So she entertains her girly whims with a girl named say... Isabel. Isabel is dating a kid named... Coal. Coal and Isabel have been dating for awhile, and Isabel want's Jane to go on a double date with them. Out of nowhere, Jane has a date with Matt! Coincidence? While Matt is my best friend, Coal and Matt are even better friends. So Coal may have hooked Matt up, I can't tell. Coal may have told Isabel to convince Jane to go on a date with Matt.

So I'm at a standstill.

Mary has recently switched into mine and Jane's lunch, but Jane moved away from the table today to sit next to Matt. They didn't talk the entire time... at all. Which kinda pissed me off even more for some reason. And Jane may be trying to avoid Nathan, because he sits with me. But I don't think I'm gonna follow Jane around in lunch. So Mary want's to sit with me, because I'm like one of her best guys friends. So I talk to Mary, and out of the blue Mary is like "So I think Jane likes Matt, but I don't know."

Here are my options:
1) Wait it out. Let them date, see if it crashes... or flourishes. Jane is a SAINT and will probably forgive him for anything as long as he apologizes. God damn it.

2) Somehow utilize Mary and try to get Mary to change Jane's views and tilt her eyes my way, so to speak. It's too much of coincidence that Jane is Isabel's best friend and Matt is Coal's best friend. Maybe the same thing could work me.

3) Tell Jane straight up, and hope for the best. "It is not only necessary to love, it is necessary to say so..." Right?

4) Tell Matt to back off, but we've been friends since 5th grade...

5) Secret option E. Any ideas?

Blooper: I
I was texting my friend... Nicholas, and he likes someone as well. He told her straight up that he loved her, in person, even though she has a boyfriend. I complimented the size of his balls and compared them to the vast eternity of the universe.

I don't get a text back for awhile, so I think "He must be watching tv or something"
I check the sent box incase I didn't send it, but to my dismay I accidentally sent it to Jane! I quickly send a "hahaha omg that was meant for nicholas" message.

A half hour later I receive a text from Jane saying "hahahahahhaha.... that text just made my life."

ANY help would be gladly appreciated, I just need some advice or something. I've never felt this way toward a girl.
