I don't feel like getting the lyrics, but: |

I have many, here is one: |

Early Morning Moment,
A Glimpse of Joy,
But soon it's Over, and I return to Dust...
At the risk of creeping you all out, Prison Sex by Tool always made me very emotional because it was like he put my childhood into music. It's something akin to what I would have written. As for a song that 'represents' me today, I'm not really sure. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is The Way Out is Through by NIN: |

“Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.”

For all of you that hate on trance and other electronic genre's, obviously, havent heard good meaningful trance/Electronica. Honestly, it's not always the volume of the lyrics but the way in which its arranged and how the sounds capture the feeling, that matters. In my opinion, trance and other electronic genre's do a service where most pop songs fall short. Overall most pop songs are really out there just as an insult to the title- music, made solely on and for, money. Heres a few personal favorites from one of the best mix cd's I've ever heard (being a DJ and composer that takes alot to say), Ferry Corstens- Infinite Euphoria, called that for good reason mind you. If you like these lyrics please give the double cd a whirl...The mix from (the theme song from the movie- 'Platoon', aka.) William Orbit's- Barber's Adagio for Strings (Ferry Corsten remix), into Prodigy's- Smack My Bitch Up is an amazing portrayal of a harmonious Light to Dark transition happening all at once...mind you no backbeat to go from just an ambient string part |
