HELP with bridging, ICS and ICF

      Hi,

I'm having a horrible time tonight.

I have two network cards, one is a woreless and is connected via radio to an access point.
The other is a standard network card connected to my home network. I am attempting to bridge these two and share internet access.

Here are the problems I am seeing.

When I establish the bridge, I can no longer connect to the internet with the wireless card.
Also, when I press Advanced, I get some funky screen wanting to specify timeouts and such, I was expecting the screen that allows me to set up ICS and ICF.

When I remove the bridge, the setup dialogs are as I expect. Wierd huh?

The network connection wizard crashes as well. This is driving me nuts! I am up to date with Win XP and SP2.

      Any ideas?

So you have a wireless router that usually works and the connection stops working once you bridge the two PCs? How exactly are you bridging them? Through wireless? lol

Umm try disabling some of the networks and connections that you aren't using currently. I'm not exactly understanding your situation seek.

I am trying to set up a small network between three houses. In one house, we have the DSL modem connected to a wireless router. This wireless router is sitting in the window. In the second house, the guy has a wireless ethernet card. Since he only has one computer, he is up and working ok.

I have three computers at my house and am attempting to use my computer as a wireless bridge/router using software.

My wireless is connecting to his wireless router. Also in my computer, I have installed a second ethernet card. This card is connected via a switch to two other computers.

The two computers are to share internet access but coming through the ethernet card. The two network cards are to be bridges and NAT is to occure using ICS to the wireless card.

It is supposed to be a straightforward setup, but for some funky reason, things are going wrong. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled all of my network devices, no luck. I have also forced all my network cards into compatible and promiscuous modes.

Hmm it sounds like it should work. I had a lot of problems with XP's Internet connection/linking before, I don't think it's programmed that well. Sorry I can't help you with this Seeker.
