The apocalypse, or the end to a beginning.

      http://www.johntitor.com/

Although there is debate over the exact date it started, on November 02, 2000, a person calling themselves Timetravel_0, and later John Titor, started posting on a public forum that he was a time traveler from the year 2036.[/b]

      Dear readers,

Civilization as we know it is coming to an end soon. This is not the wacky conclusion of a religious cult, but rather the result of diligent analysis sourced by hard data and the scientists who study global “Peak Oil” and related geo-political events.

So who are these nay-sayers who claim the sky is falling? Conspiracy fanatics? Apocalypse Bible prophesy readers? To the contrary, they are some of the most respected, highest paid geologists and experts in the world. And this is what's so scary.

The situation is so dire that even George W. Bush's Energy Adviser, Matthew Simmons, has acknowledged that \"The situation is desperate. This is the world's biggest serious question.\"

According to Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham, \"America faces a major energy supply crisis over the next two decades. The failure to meet this challenge will threaten our nation's economic prosperity, compromise our national security, and literally alter the way we lead our lives.\"[/b]
Although I'm quite skeptical about anything I see, both websites make some very probable and very intuitive predictions. Also, they both are very interesting reads. What excites me the most is the possibility of them happening. I want the fascist/communist psuedo-democratic world state to collapse because we need a new beginning. I like America 200 years ago, policy and ideology wise, but now it's just going to shit.

i have to outright admit that i'm mostly ignorant about this, however, as i understand it the moon has an abundance of helium-3. from what i understand, researchers believe helium-3 fusion could become our next main source of energy. of course, we encounter the same problems of it being a depletable resource; however, it will likely provide us with ample time to find yet another energy resource.

      (quick quote after searching google):
Researchers and space enthusiasts see helium 3 as the perfect fuel source: extremely potent, nonpolluting, with virtually no radioactive by-product. Proponents claim it’s the fuel of the 21st century. The trouble is, hardly any of it is found on Earth. But there is plenty of it on the moon.
that's an old quote, and many seem to worry about the economic feasibility of mining it. however, i think president bush is already planning mining colonies? i again could be wrong on that. ahwell.
Each new day is a chance to turn it all around.
