ok the other thread on Myth And Religion was getting too long so i wanted to get the werd on Jehovah Witnessing Originally posted by evangel better described as a cult (as are Jehovah's Witnesses) mai friend a while back was a JW and she told me she researched it and i thought I should research it too so I pulled up info JW stuff on the internet and read bunch of JW stuff on the positive end, i interviewed ppl from other religions and looked at wut they believed... then i jus decided screw it b/c all sides r biased no matter how neutral they claim to be (neutrality is such bullshyt there's no such thing) so then i decided there's no information in the world that will help me so i decided to go by wut i felt ok for the record in mai research i read sum where that JW was a cult n dat's jus straight bullshyt... actually there's alot of anti JW ish i've read that was bullshyt.. n jus cuz it was created in the last hundred years isn't valid proof that it's a cult or a fake religion.. newayz.. anyone can argue any religion is a cult alrite buh only difference btw a cult n religion is it's not a scam to get ur money or for mass suicides... personally I believe in Jehovah but I don't agree wyt organized religion Granted b/c religion is organized by humans b/c we r flawed any religion is going to be flawed and since it is organized there's usually a group of leaders or a leader that is in charge so essientially they become ur source of information so u end up believing wut they believe and they end up making a bunch of bogus rules that we don't even need i believe those rules were made by humans not God so it doesn't mean that's exactly wut God wants but face it every religion is organized (they all have their systems and rules) and humans need rules even a small group n the one good thing about a group of ppl that believe in the same thing is they all have their different view so they have different points of views to learn from and make ppl have more of their individual thoughts about it... and listen to all u athiests out there that believe religious people create it in their minds they might buh the hardcore religious ppl can feel him, not that i'm hardcore i used to be and i remember feeling it and how strong it was so don't diss it unless u actually experienced it so wut i've come up wyt from my research was God is probably universal b/c there are ppl from other religions that can feel him too, and don't believe every rule there is in a religion is actually valid b/c if it's not in the bible or w/e there's no proof that it's wut God wants n yea u could be ur own salvation ok but the difference is btw God and being ur own salvation is it's alot harder being ur own salvation and yea u'll feel something positive from the end but there's a more intense stronger sensation u feel if ur wyt God ok i'm not an active JW even tho I believe in him but i will stand up for anyone that believes in any God or gods <i'm sorrie if i'm a little touchy on religion but i don't like assumptions >_________________

sorry guys if i was a little cranky earlier but i'm seriously tired of ppl telling me o i believe religious ppl create everything in their minds, and that the concept of god is fucked up... but i mean there's nothing wrong wyt being an athiest its just there alot of athiests i no that jus make assumptions w/o even getting any facts straight n sum just get plain disrespectful sumtimes... so sorry if i attacked u guys o n mormons r different than JW i mean their beliefs have like one or two similar things but they're totally different

o ha ha no JW's have like a new translation bible, monthly magazines, and new books that come out every year so the info is fresh but the best part is they're all free

Isn't it nice to have a place where we can talk about this stuff? I've got friends that are Jehovahs Witness, Mormon, all Christian Denominations. Seems to me that the core beliefs of these Christian groups are the same, they just differ on some of the, for lack of a better word, 'fringe' issues. Things like temple worship, or the 144,000. Bottom line, they all strive to worship and serve the same God.

Uh... Mormons are way different that any other christan groups. Most Cathlics consider them occult! Mormons belive in self-divinity, so they don't neccacerly serve the same god. edit: sorry for the bad spelling.
