That's a great example of plant wedging. The roots of the tree will grow into the cracks of the rock, and help break it down. I only mention this because I thought it was amusing; I have to teach this in about 1 week to my 6th grade kiddos. It's my favorite unit for that grade - Weathering, Erosion, Deposition, and Landforms :D (my favorite favorite is Plate Tectonics with my 7th graders).
Spoiler for Mushroom that looks it's from different planet:

Hey since I know there are a few of us who like to photograph mushrooms, I thought I would post a link to a very awesome website:
https://mushroomobserver.org/
Basically, you add photographs to the site, you mark the location where you found it, you put in your field notes and best guess at identification, and then create the observation. After that, experienced mycologists will sometimes come in and help with identification. But even more importantly, it helps track the range and population of different species. So important, since we just don't know a lot about fungi and mushrooms, yet, not like we do plants and animals. Many species may be endangered, and we don't even know it. I know I have added several rarer species, and it's good to note where they still may be found.
Helping science, for the win!
(In other news, I have got to get Imgur. My photos are so small!)
It's nice when you harvest Lingzhi in your freezer for a day like today. I made Lingzhi tea today. It was so good! I'm also planning on making soup broth with it. ;)
