The problem with cops is, is that smart and nice people hardly ever become a cop on the street. Most cops are eighter stupid, or just enormous power-crazy assholes. Off course there are some exeptions. And I would sue that guy for assault And discrimination. If the girl wasn't 'skater' but a 'normal' girl the cop wouldn't have done that probably.

my cousin is a cop, and a racist arrogant one at that (bitch on a powertrip). i have had two separate friends suffer from competely unwarranted police brutality. my one friend (of jamacian descent) had a chunk of crack planted in his car when he got pulled over. he was making excellent money at a restaraunt, and so had a flashy car. he'd never even tried weed at the time incidentally, and saw them plant the drugs. after making him sit in a cell all day they let him go without apologizing. it is my opinion most cops want the job for the power it brings, not because they want to help or protect everyone.

Q: Who would want to spend their lives enforcing the law, patrolling the streets, arresting drug dealers and other low-life? A: People who have a serious ego-problem and get a trip out of having power over someone else/like having shiny badges, uniforms and cars with sirens on them. I think that's the main problem there - the fact that the job acts like a magnet to every arsehole and bullied-kid-wanting-revenge out there. I must say the few experiences I've had with cops ahve been alright - being caught underage drinking a number of times and simply being told to do it somewhere else, but it would be a scary feeling being in a situation where the cops are looking to stich you up for something, because there's not much you can do about it.

That happened to my professor, he had a nice car, but someone took out his window and he wasn't going to bother fixing it. A cop pulled him over wondering where he got the car and couldn't believe he was a prof, but he had proof. I heard cops are trained to pull over minorities or something, that's why I don't trust cops.

I loathe cops. every time I see one I'm all like FUCK YOU PIGGY! not without reason, though. A few weeks ago I totalled my car because of black ice. Cops showed up within 30 seconds, but they didn't want to know if I was okay, they wanted to know if I was drunk. They gave me a ticket for speeding. I went home mad that they were such dicks about the whole thing. Two days later I get a call from Officer Bane. Now, Bane isn't the biggest asshole on the police force, but he still went out of his way to pick out every last piece of pot shake that was in the carpet. He was pissed and he wanted me to come in to the station so he could yell at me, since it obviously wasn't enough weed to make it to court. He pulled out a rubber glove, cut it open, and out came maybe half a bowlpack, mixed in with lint and crap from the carpet. So this cop is lecturing me about how a single stem is enough to get me convicted.. blah blah blah.... he doesn't really say anything significant but I have to sit through the lecture and pretend to be grateful for this second chance he's giving me since the conversation is being recorded and being a punk to a cop is just a bad idea. Anyway I went home and smoked a bowl for good measure. stupid cop.

A few bad cops give the rest of them a bad name - it's a shame that it happens that way, but it seems like we meet way more dirty cops than good ones. And I agree about the power-trip thing that a few people mentioned - it's all for the ego.
