Hey, everyone. Some older members might remember from some time back. I decided to come back, and let you all know about my favorite band today. I was talking to TygrHawk and realized you guys might appreciate them as I do. They're called The Dresden Dolls, and they have their own self-titled style called Brechtian Punk Cabaret. They combine Weimar-era Cabaret with modern rock. Brian Viglione, the drummer/guitarist is very much from a rock background. However, Amanda Palmer, the pianist/vocalist is more involved in sort of a modern classical style. The combination sounds wonderful. I'll ramble on no more, and link you to a few songs from their website. I warn you, they have a taste for dark comedy, as well as serious tones, often times in the same song.

From their new CD, Dirty Business:

A far more "trippy" song, Girl Anachronism:

A nice old-fashioned style, twisted into their twisted style, Missed Me:

A happy sounding song with somewhat disturbing lyrics, Bad Habit:

Difficult to really explain, Half-Jack:
