Relative Popularity of Bush in the US

So that's an animation of the United States. There's several slides, and it's updated reguarly as far as I know. Anyway, it shows how much more or less popular Bush is in each state when compared to the national popularity level.

Watch the whole thing, up to June 2006, and you might notice something: Only TWICE out of all those slides is Utah NOT the highest supporter of Bush. Utah is consistantly the BIGGEST supporter of Bush. The only times it isn't, it's only back by one or two percent. Yup. That's what it's like living in a massively fascist-level Republican state. Not that the people aren't nice--they're just really stupid when it comes to polls. Almost all of Utah votes Republican, regardless of the issue at hand. To a mindless level. I've tried having intelligent political discussions with teachers, relatives, and friend's parents. More than thirty, in all. Out of all I talked to, only one didn't approve of Bush's foreign policy. Of all those who supported his foreign policy, only TWO were up to speed on the Middle East. They all knew about Iraq, of course, but only two knew that Iran was controversial at the moment. Only two knew why the Dubai port deal was controversial. Isn't that sad? Massive ignorance. Not that it's unique to Utah, of course. It's just ignorance of a particularly Republican nature here.
