I'm a Pink Floyd fan, and I dont really mind at all. I mean, he was the guy that started it all.. But the greatest music they made was without him The Syd Barrett era wasn't my Era really, I preferred the Gilmour/Waters/Masons/Wright era (Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall, etc). |

Ok, but you can't deny his influence on their later sound. He laid the pattern down in the early days that the band kept alive. If he was never in the band, I wonder what your favorite records would have sounded like. |

It's true... it sounded awful. He showed up, overweight and with his entire head shaved, including his eyebrows. Supposedly he was trying to brush his teeth by holding the brush to his mouth and jumping up and down... sounded like a wreck. They didn't realize it was Syd for a while. |
