It was not just one Coupon. Starbucks had issued a full Edition of Coupons -- a Full Campaign of Coupons, and then simply changed its mind and decided, once the Customers were banging on their doors, that more money could be made by Selling the coffee.
Well, the way Starbucks had conducted this Campaign was that Select Employees were told to pass these Coupons out to "Friends and Family". It was these very special people that were thrown out of the Coffee Shops.
Well, considering the Abuse and the Provocation, I think that 112 Million Dollars is hardly enough. We must consider whether it is enough to inflict any serious Corporate Pain.
People were insulted. Feelings were hurt. Trusts had been betrayed.
Is 112 Million Dollars enough to make the Corporate Bosses hurt in the same proportion. Is it enough so that we can say that justice was served?
But you would have a World where those Corporate Fat Cats could just belly laugh at all the rest of us, and make jokes about their Employees "Friends and Family" being kicked out of the shops like rejected beggers.
Let me guess... you're a Republican, aren't you?
