Thread: Nicknames...

I think I've just made up a nice little idea:

When we first joined this forum, we had to enter a so-called 'Screen Name'; a Nickname of sorts...

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't nicknames actually given?
Aren't they earned, rather than taken?

Which brings me to this idea: (Let's make it some kind of game, allright?)

Each poster makes up (at least) one nickname for the person above him (so the next one to post should make one up for me, the guy after him makes up a nickname for the 2nd poster, etc.), but this nickname should not have anything to do with their screen name... (of course, after you've made up the nickname for the poster above you, you can make up and type down any other nicknames you've made up for other people on here too)

In stead, use the real name (if available), any distinct traits, his or her's position in this community, any peculiarities, or other things you (and hopefully also the community) identify said person with, to create a nickname...

And again: Creativity is totally cool: If you find someone to behave in such a way a fox also does, then name him after a fox... If you identify someone with a washing machine (for whatever reason), name the guy/gal after a washing machine...

Of course, it would help if you'd explain the nickname after making it up...

But of course: A line MUST be drawn somewhere: No cruelty, no discrimination, and no insults...
If any of these three simple rules are broken, I'll have your post deleted (unless, of course, you have an exlpanation... (If it sounds discriminating or insulting, and you do explain that it wasn't meant that way) (and when the opposite party (i.e. the 'nicknamee') finds it okay to leave it like that), then we'll leave it like that, if not, I'll have it removed...)
This is NOT a place where you can say all the bad things you want to say about someone... This is just to have some fun...
Therefore: If anyone wants his or her nickname removed: State your reason, and I'll try to get it removed...


So... Anyone think this is a cool idea?

If not: Then you can just stay away... We don't need posts like 'what a f*ckin' stupid idea... Simply because it doesn't add anything to the intention of the thread...

But if you do think it's cool: Then I'd say: Begin, let the grey mass behind your skullbones work a bit... And make up some cool stuff...

Due to the complains of some guy 2 posts below this one, telling me I had made too many rules, I hereby change the rules:
-Discrimination, insults, etc. are totally fine... I won't remove them, even if you want me to...
-No explanation needed for your nickname, just shout out something, and all will be fine... Your nickname (which now looks as if it is totally unthought about, however) won't be considered a mind fart anymore...
-creativity isn't needed... no really, just shout something and all will be fine...
-You don't have to have a nickname for the above poster... just shout out a name and all will be fine

Too many rules man, you sound like an uninvited guest to a cool party that just came up with an idea that would bring down the life of it.
