What are people's thoughts on this?

Personally I think it is a joke. Its doing more harm than good. Plus I hate that all these "artists" are suddenly jumping on the green bandwagon when in reality they probably live horribly luxurious lives.

Doesn't it use up electricity (which burns fossil fuels to create) to air these shows? Then what about the trash and pollution from vehicles going to these events? Plus all the energy/pollution from manufacturing the stage and equipment at the locations its at. Probably lots of bottled water too. Yummy plastic. What about all the litter and trash there would be after the shows?

Live Earth is a living hypocrisy. I'm all for saving the earth and fighting against global warming, but this is a hypocritical act.
