Question Question for other Kitty owners?????

I have a new kitten, Annie, and she does something that none of my other cats do, so I am concerned. She chews on my cords. Electrical, phone, computer.
I know she is teething and I have plenty of toys she can play with.

      ANY SUGGESTIONS?????

Other than putting the cords where she can't get at them.. try bitter apple spray or some other stuff that they sell that tastes bad to deter her from chewing them.

Cloud used to have a BIG problem with this when he was a kitten! I thought James was going to skin him one time when he chewed through an irreplaceable computer cord... He chewed through at least 3 phone cords, my headphone wires, and damaged countless other cords and wires. I was always afraid he was going to electrocute himself or start a fire, but thankfully he didn't.

We tried putting Tabasco sauce on the wires - I heard cats don't like the taste - but he licked them all clean and then proceeded to chew through the wire! There was no way we could confine him from the room with the computers at the time, so James came up with the idea of putting plastic wire loom around the cords and wires. You can get it from auto parts stores. It worked wonders! No more cord chewing!

Cloud seemed to grow out of the chewing phase, but even when we moved, we still wire loomed everything just in case, and have never found any more chewed wires. I'd highly recommend using wire loom, since it was the only thing that actually worked for us and our cord-chewing cat!

Cats love stringy things. like string, show laces, wires... Pretty much anything that dangles around. You kind of just need to hide the wires if that's possible. Or, cover them up with something. tape a towel around em or something?

Yep, I used bitter apple for my ferrets. It's not toxic in small doses, just tastes really bitter and will discourage them from chewing cables again. Because they taste horrible!

Plus it's funny to watch them try and get the taste out of their mouths
If you think you can't, you're right.

yep, bitter apple DEFINITELY WORKS!!! When i first had my kittens, it took them a couple of days to figure out the litter tray, so they'd be pooping in corners. I'd clean it up, disinfect it, and then spray it with bitter apple...they hated it!! I also used it for my dog when she had a sore tail, which she kept biting on.
