Thread: Please Stop Necroposting!

It has come to my attention that it is now "hip" to necropost. It isn't. If there is a post that you feel you have something to add to, then go ahead. Otherwise, those of us who have been here for a number of years I would rather those posts remain in their proper resting place.

Please. Preserve the memory! Respect our humble beginnings.

Yes, I agree, it's annoying to have 5 uselessly revived threads in a row at the top of the forum page. The worst thing is I think I'm the one who started it (did it once as a joke a few months ago), but now it's not even funny anymore...

Heh heh, it's funny cause it's really only me and carousoul necromancing threads. I haven't ever seen the posts or threads you claim to have written, I act on my own intentions.

Hey now, we often get mad at new people when they ask something they could easily search for. Now that they are and bringing the topics back up, we get angry at them?

Pick one side or the other.

This may have been said before, but if the thread is relevant to something that is affecting the community at the moment, or something that should be reviewed again, necroposting (or Bumping, as some call it) should be permissable. Sometimes we all need a reminder of something from and old thread, or a thread that had a good point but has been forgotten.
