passion is the road to riches

if you were to go out today and spend all of your money on passion, that is, whatever you are passionate about (be it books, music, or whatever), you will soon become the wealthiest person in existence.

I know this because I did it, and now...I really can say that I'm the wealthiest person alive.

I was so worried about letting my family and friends down that I forgot to be myself. I was always, and always will be, a passionate person, and I know that everything I've ever done and ever will do will have its roots in passion.

[I'm about 800 dollars in debt. I have just enough money to buy a CD, and that's exactly what I'm going to do. I could worry about making a credit card payment, OR, I could go by this CD and listen to it with a friend, enjoying life outside of the rat race...]

every mistake I've ever made, I learned from.
now, looking back, I see how each mistake taught me something and exactly what it taught me, and so I'm no longer ashamed of my past. (it is because of that that I am not aprehensive about my future, and because I'm not worried about the future, I'm free to live in the moment.)

I'm not worried about what anyone thinks of me because I am in such an amazing state of existence that all I want to do is get other people here. I'm going to live out the rest of my life figuring out how to best explain it (getting better at it as I learn from my mistakes).

I know that some people will understand this and some won't. to those that do, welcome to heaven. to those that think they understand, but aren't sure, don't worry, you are well on your way. never stop questioning.

and to those who don't understand at all...well, you don't bother me, because I know that everything will work out in the end.

so, try this: go out RIGHT NOW and spend some money on something you're passionate about. you just have to be sure that you really are passionate about it. to find out, ask this: is there someone I would like to share this with? it really is that simple. trust me, I know from experience.

      I'm living it

      haha :)

I have no shame. I know this CD will be worth...so much more than 800 dollars, because, I can see how it will affect my future, how it will play out.

acts of passion create a ripple affect, and at the same time a net of security.

I took that very same attitude last march.

I used to drive neat cars, cars I was passionate about driving and experiencing. Mustangs, Road Runners, Trans Ams, etc.. Then I got into a 15 year rut of driving pick up trucks and finally a 86 Ford Escort. Transportation without passion.

My wife kept telling me I looked goofy driving around in that escort, but hey, it worked and got decent gas milage, No payments etc.( dont care what others think anyhow, not even her)

Anyhow One day I saw a new Ford Mustang on the road. Something about it gave me the notion of seeing myself driving one. So.......

I called the Car Salesman that sold my wife her truck. Never having seen one of these cars up close, let alone ever having driven one, I told him if he wanted to sell me a car, get me a grabber orange one, an overall base care but with an automatic transmission and a V-6.

A week later I was driving one such car. Perfect fit, perfect comfort. A thoroughly enjoyable vehicle. Amazingly, the car payments, the money to make the payments, insurance etc, just fell right into place like it was meant to be. I still laugh about how easily it came together.

Its the experience of a thing that counts , not the ownership, desire, or attachment for/to that some thing.

I like your philosophy. Fear of being broke is perhaps the worst evil. People cage themselves in their homes and jobs for fear of not having enough money.

I don't want much; just books, music, and survival gear when some of my current stuff breaks. As a result I need little money, the effect is that I have to work less, and the effect of that is I get to follow my passions even more.
