Almost missed that it was Tu B'Shevat, Jewish New Year for the Trees. Although it ends at sundown tonight (22nd) I will make my lucid task for this evening -- To Plant a Tree. Everyone else is welcome to plant one as well

Yeah I've never practiced this. Plant a tree and let it grow for three years without eating the fruit. In the fourth year the fruit will be for what ever higher being you chose to belive in, in the fifth year it will be your turn to eat the fruit. I found it to be one of the more interesting of the Jewish New years (I think they have four total each year).

Hehe .. I consider us all to be chosen people lol... But yah, I do plan to convert... Been in a relationship for a while now and we plan to have a traditional ceremony..

lol jews. Yet another useful post by Carousoul. I think I may become multi-faith multi-nationality. That way I can have new years all year round and I'll have an excuse never to enact my resolutions. Plus, Chinese new year et al seems like such a more worthwhile than the useless stetegy we have in these parts of singularly getting blind drunk, and this is south of London. I dread to think what Carousoul and his locals get up to in impoverished Lancashire. Probably resort to drunken tribal warfare or something. Not their fault of course that they are uneducated and dirty.
