Asking a girl...

So my fraternity's formal is coming up, and there's this girl i want to ask. The formal is called the Carnation Ball. I have an idea. In her mailbox, i want to put an anonymous note (she'll know it's me, but oh well) saying something like "Look for the White Carnations" And then in random places around campus where she will be, i'm going to place those carnations. I want to leave one on her desk in a class she has, but that would be hard since i'd have to ask her for her schedule, pretty much giving it away even more, find out where she sits, and then go there hoping she won't be there early or anyone messes around with it. The last one will go on her desk in her room with a note telling her to meet me in a room at my fraternity at a certain time. There, i'll have a few small candles and a single carnation in my hand, possibly dressed in a suit, and ask her face-to-face if she'd go with me. I've given her small hints -- when we went suit shopping, i asked what the color of her favorite dress she had was when picking out ties. I also asked her if she's free on the weekend of the 18th, when we go to formal. I should utilize the pledges -- make them randomly give her carnations when they see her What do you guys think?

As said, It may be a pain in the ass, but don't let that discourage you man. That just sounds amazing, and our society could do with more people willing to go to such lengths! Don't let however daunting the task seems discourage you. Put that much effort into something, and its going to pay off! Good Luck man, though with something like that I doubt you'll need luck

I just asked my roommate and his girlfriend if they thought it was a good idea and they said hell no, it would be creepy unless i was actually her boyfriend. And they said the carnation in the room thing would creep her out

Yeah, that's a really sweet idea, but I think it should only be done if you know that she's really interested in you, or if you've been dating for a while and you're like.. proposing or something. If she's not all that interested in you, she might find that a bit extreme to be honest. If you still want to do something sweet, I'd just leave her a little bouquet somewhere and a nice note.
