So I saw the lyrics thread and got the idea that it would be interesting to see some lyrics by dreamviewers. I know a lot of you are musicians so I'm assuming that a lot of you write your own songs as well. So post a song you wrote and some info behind it for all of us to criticize and critique! J/K. At the risk of being pretentious I'll post one of mine. Most of my best songs are about religion, but since this is the lounge and not R/S I'll post a song I wrote after a break up with a girl I dated for 3 years. I wrote this one for a friend on a Star Wars message board I frequent. It is, of course, about Darth Vader. It's a symphonic/Gothic metal song, and I'd kill to have it performed by Nightwish. Let me know what you think of it. Hey skysaw! I liked that one...reminded me a little bit of Pink Floyd This is a song I wrote, after something horrible happened to me. It describes my feelings towards god, doubting his existence. Generally I have an english friend who corrects my lyrics (I'm german). But this song is not that old and so it wasn't corrected yet (if there are any faults please tell me! ). Here I'll post you a link, where you can hear the song but it's a very bad version without my band! Both songs you can hear on this page were just trials to test my new microphone. Since than I sadly have a laryngitis which prohibits me to sing (I can't even speak ) so please have on your mind that these are JUST trials!!! Anyway I thought that it would give you the possiblitiy to get an impression of this song. I wrote this about two years ago. I'll sing it after spring break when I have my guitar.
