      know anything about nuclear weapons?

      I've already posted a question about an assignment, but oh well. I just have to debate about nuclear weapons and need some kind of information if anyone has any ideas. The topic is:

      The United States should continue to build it's nuclear weapons programs

      Tell you're teacher that he's a backwoods hillbilly.

      Start with the obvious flaw in the statement: "continue" would imply that we have a nuclear weapons program. We don't, we haven't for some time. The only programs we have open are the dismantling of our nuclear weapons and keeping tabs on other countries that have them.

      I would research the "geneva convention" and "cold war" to start out with. I'd also do research on conventional weapons to show how their power and aftereffects compare.
