Really??? Is there like an "Inteligents to Vision" Ratio going on with the human body? Is there like a study that shows for every smart cell you have you sacrifice your eye sight? Or is it that from the biggining since little your blind and you try harder in life to catch up that you end up being smarter than the rest? Or glasses just fits your personality and it so happens that your a little smarter than the others. |

When I dream, theres always a
little girl playing in the dirt, that
turns to me and says "Why are
you here? .... Are you blind like
me?"
What I've found
What I've known
Never shined to me what I've shown
Never be
Never free
I wish to see what might have been...
...So I talk to you unbeliever.

I has flawles vision and am smart... |
|
Ok??? Did I offend you? Eplain why this thread is "fail". |
|
No you didn't offend me, but it's fail because the theory is filled with idiocy. There is no correlation between eyesight and intelligence. I have over a 150 IQ, and have above perfect vision. |
|
Well, maybe your not in an environment where you see these kinda of people on a regular basis. I'm actualy talking about people with THICK glasses. Like right out of a movie nerds kinda folk. |

I am very proud to be a nerd and have never worn glasses. However, if I did they'd have to be those big, horn-rimmed, Buddy Holly glasses. |

I've seen a study, though I can't find it now, relating miopia (closesightedness) to a slightly but perceptively higher IQ. Not claiming it is right though. I'll post it if I find it. |
|
Saying quantum physics explains cognitive processes is just like saying geology explains jurisprudence.
Well, the only legit correletation is stress-induced myopia due to lots of reading and such. But I agree that this thread is kind of retarded. My guess is this guy ignores stupid people with glasses and smart people without them and uses every instance of smart people with glasses to confirm his beliefs. |
|
. . . . . ok? I'm going to ignore that. |
|
Stephent was right. You are fail. |
|
Ok, here we go. Some feedback (via text) of a friend on the subject saying that they really don't care that much about their looks. They have other things to care more about and prefer their glasses rather than contacts. Unlike some people who would care more of what people actualy think of them. |
|
100 is average right? I don't think I want to know my IQ. |
|
I am a geek, I wear glasses. |

You see what you expect because you're prepared to see it. |
