No i didn't shave my legs. But i did have to wear a speedo type thingy. But it went down to my knees. It was really fun, its quite a lot of energy at once i mean your all tense and you hit the water and take off and it just is really fun.

Shaving was an option with our team, but in fact it does cut down on time a little. I personally don't like really hairy guys...yuck. One time my mom was furious when my oldest brother shaved his head for a meet. She said, "It's not like that 1/100th of a second is going to make a difference!" But you know what? My brother won his race by 1/100th of a second. Coincidence?
The body suits are ridiculiously expensive, unless you're planning on making a career out of it. They're cool, but let's just say I can't afford it. But you know what makes swimming great? Pulling on a suit that's 4 sizes smaller than you usually wear and have your coach say "That's still too big. Try something smaller." Early morning practices aren't a problem, tho. At least not for me. I stopped because I hated my coach.
Swimming in full body suits would suck though because then you would get an uneven tan :? (because for the women it doesn't cover their arms). I swim occasionally but I burn too easily :( .
Who just watched that relay, the US was awesome. Phelps kicked butt, but i believe Klete Keller deserves more credit, he held off ian thorpe.
Ha, I try to swim as often as possible to get a more even tan. Anyway, I just finished watching the swimming portion of the olympics with Michael Phelps and Ian Thorpe, love them both. :P I can't believe I actually got into this thing.. I'm not a big sports watcher in general, so this is a surprise.
Edit: Yeah Evanescent, I just got done watching that.. that last American guy really pulled through. I was pretty shocked! In a good way. :D
I just saw the news and they showed the end of it. Barely won too.
Anyway I'm confused about the tans, are everyone else's school's swimming pool outdoors? I thought they had to be indoors or something.
Mine was indoors, I was just talking about swimming for fun during summer.
Yup... we are OUT! :(Quote:

My thoughts exactly...I never liked that guy, I think he fucked us over in the Olympics and the Copa America. He must definately get fired now. I want Aguirre back!!!Quote:

I would like a coach from abroad. The last ones were all from here and they all sucked. LaPuente always called up Cabrera, and Almaguer, they suck but still took them 'cause they were his friends. Then Meza took Carreon, and Ruiz. Aguirre took Vidrio, Gabriel, Rodriguez, and worst of all Caballero. I'm sure LaVolpe eventually would have taken Rodriguez, Zepeda, and Osorno, he called him up a couple times now that I remember. If LaVolpe does quit I hope we get Bianchi. I'll be happy as long as it is not Hugo Sanchez.Quote:

Yup, saw that. I was actually cheering for the Aussies more, cuz I really like Ian Thorpe. But Phelps actually showed some emotion when the Americans won, so I was extremely happy for them. It's weird, I'm SO happy for whoever wins. I remember the Greeks won men's synchronized diving, and they were so happy that I got affected as well, and my eyes got all teary.. yeesh. :PQuote:

I can't join swimming because I refuse to shave my legs. Actually, I can't even swim.
Yea that was pretty cool. Altho i think that the USA should have actualyl got the gold other than Romania in the gymnastics, plus all the american girls were a lot prettier. :D
Omg, that one Russian girl was soooooooooooooooooooooo thin!!! I thought she'd shatter or something. Anyway, nah, the US girls messed up a LOT..
But but but......Well romania was good, but but but, Carly Patterson and the others are so much prettier :D . And you can't forget about amanda beird. :D
Hehe, well, maybe they can petition for a modeling event at the olympics. :D I think that one swimmer who used to carry the teddy bear with her is pretty also.
Thats amanda beard and she does model.
Heres the current medal list i will updat every day and make sure you can see it.

WOW. Go USA! :D I'm impressed.
Okay, who saw what PAUL HAMM did in gymnastics????????????????? That is.. wow.. he must be from another planet, because that's humanly impossible!!!!
(Um, I'm a little over-excited.) :P
what i hate about the olympics is that its so long that you dont know whats on and whats not going to go on.
ME TOO! I was jumping up and down for him. I cannot believe he was able to come back and win gold after falling on his ass. He's my hero. Too bad he sounds like a munchkin.Quote:

Hehehe  he does sound weird. By his voice, I thought he was like 5'1 or something, but he's actually 5'6.. not as short as I thought. Wow, yeah, he's my hero too. I wonder why his twin isn't as great, though.Quote:

I remember watching the Olympics with my parents when I was twelve, but lately, I just haven't had the time or interest; watching sports, let alone playing them, just isn't my thing.
