Just curious to know what book(s) everyone are currently reading, if you read that is. I'm in a bit of a neo-philosophical-spiritual mood lately so I am currently reading "Going Home - Jesus and Buddha as Brothers" by Thich Nhat Hanh and "The Complete Works of Lao Tzu" translated by Hua-Ching Ni. What about you?

I've recently read (in order): Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams The Long Dark Tea Time Of the Soul by Douglas Adams Catcher in the Rye by J.D Saligner The Private Life of Genghis Khan by Douglas Adams I'm currently reading: The Meaning of Liff by Douglas Adams. I'd reccomend all those books to you now. I've warezed them all onto my Palm, which is an immensely useful tool (as is iSilo).

I am in the middle of reading many books. I am still reading the basic writings of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. Namely Freuds "Three Contributions to the Theory of Sex." Also, "Man and His Symbols" by Carl Jung. Toxic Psychiatry Brain Calipers (University Text) Charles Drawin's "Origin of Species" Science Matters and several articles from Science magazine and from the Society of Neuroscience. I would recommend these books.. only if you are interested in these fields.

I'm reading a book that's called "Stardust" It's about how people and nearly everything in the universe (except hydrogen and helium) are mad up of stardust.

My English class is having us read The Native Son next. We just finished The Stranger by Camus. I'm also reading World on Fire: How free market democracy promotes ethnic genocide. Interesting.

Everyone here so far seems to be into all the heavy reading type of stuff. Car audio mags recently, and lots of online dream related articles/guides. Last book read was Paul Davies, title was something like space, superspace, quantem mechanics bla bla. Very interesting, but Theory of relativity in laymesn terms was better and easier to read.

Re-reading His Dark Materials series (3 books, named the golden compass {northern lights in UK} the subtle knife and the amber spyglass) because theyre THAT good. just finished reading all of the hitchikers guide to the galaxy series.

However, the content is great and rather simplified to actually. Von Frans is quite interesting to.. good work. The images within the book are great to. I love how dreams are held with such quintessential importance throughout all the symbolism.

Anyone read paul davies? What are science fiction books like, really addictive and stuff? , lol hey O'nus, i mean no offence. But i read that post, and some of your others, and well..they seem to contain alot of big unnecessary words. Do you really need to use them all the time?

It does seem as though I can be perceived ostentatious every now and then. However, I really hate to circumvent my vocabulary unless absolutely necessary (for example, talking to someone with a double digit IQ). I am betting you are concentrating on the word "quintessential" in my previous post which was easier for me to say rather than "a consistent underlaying point." It's just easier.... I'm not trying to be a braggart.
