Fave Electronic Time-Wastage
Rather than continue dragging the Halo 2 and EverCrack threads off-topic, I'm starting an omnitopic
Mine are Second Life (MMOC) and Dream Views, mainly. I hit a couple other forums and toss in a strategy game now and then, but I'm on DV every day and SL 4-5 days per week. I used to be more into RTS war-games, but the violence got old. In SL I make art-stuff and talk to fairly bright people, two of my preferred activities.

Forums are good. I think they have an up-down cycle though. Some weeks you will be involved in many topics, and therefore be very keen to visit DV whenever you can. Other weeks personal life gets busy, you are involved in DV less and hardly visit it.
At the end of the day, people will choose online games imo. Single player ones are just losing value. Still, the really long rpg's with great story lines will always be good, as with repeatable games such as simulation warfare.
Just think, a different click of a button, and maybe we wouldn't have ended up here

I used to play lots and lots of FF11 but now I'm clean and this is were most of my time is spent. that and reading webcomics.

ff11= full of cheating bot/pro jp players
therefore no pint trying to get good
wastes time and $ so everyone don't buy it

I play some "Red Orchestra" a mod for UT2K4, which is just brilliant.
