      Windows XP: Home edition

I have this program on my computer and I want to know how can I change the setting on Internet Explorer. Everytime I use a search engine on any site, it memorizes/saves what I wanted to search for (i.e.:art, anime, games, anything related to LD etc.). I want it so it doesn't save it. I tried to mess around with the settings, but I have no clue what Im doing. Any help?

Tools>Internet Options>Content>Autocomplete>Uncheck all boxes then press the two buttons 'Clear Forms' and 'Clear passwords' and press OK.

      That's nice way, kaniaz.

Jammer, try right clicking on windows panel (not windows sign), then properties>start menu>customize>clear. It works in certain cases.

Today, everything was fine. Until roundabout, quarter to nine, I suddenly found myself in a bind. Was it something I said? Something I read an manifested that's getting you down.[/b]

I don't know if this is what your looking for...

If your looking to clear all the saved search-engine style searches... Just double-click the area, so the list of all the things pop down... Then roll your mouse over the one you want to delete so that it's blue, then press the Delete/backspace key. That should work.

If your looking to delete typed-in address bar searches (ie. typing in: "ebay.com"), follow these instructions:

      1. Go to the start menu > Run. Type in "regedit". Beware: Editing your computer's registry can mess it up. As long as you know what you're doing...

      2. Navigate down the following trees: HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Internet Explorer > TypedURLs.

      3. On the right-hand screen you see all the most recently saved entries (should be around 20 or something). Just delete as necessary by right-mouse clicking on the entry, and click delete.

      crap, crap, crap

Have you ever tried to step in my shoes?!
Have you ever tried to balance on that beam?!
And if you ever tried to step in my shoes,
They’d never be quite as soft as they seemed.

regedit rocks. You know how programs don't like telling you your entire CD-key? And it's the same with windows? You can find it in regedit! Yay!
