      Novadreamer

Has anyone tried the novadreamer, and do novadreamers give you Lucids every time you were them to sleep. I'd love one, but it's not cheap. Found one on ebay for £350 (550$)

I've read about the novadreamer, though I've never used one. It's not an automatic LD machine. What happens is that you set it to flash a light at your eyes (during REM, I think). Your mind will somehow incorporate the flashing light into your dream. The hope is that then you will pick up on the light as it's been incorporated into your dream, and become lucid. So it doesn't give you an instant lucid, just a sort of dreamsign that you can depend on to appear.

There is actually another similar mask available for sell a bit cheaper than the Novadreamer. It is called the REMDreamer.

Some people have had some great results with masks like these..others not so much. What they do is detect when you are in the REM stage of sleep and start to flash lights. Those lights should appear in your dream and make you realize you are dreaming. Like Mikal said, it's like a consistent dream sign. I think it would be better just to learn to lucid dream on your own.

If you do really want a mask, I know there are a few guides out there that tell you how to make one for a very cheap price.

Oh cool. I was actually kinda interested in the novadreamer, but I wanted something less expensive. Also, I got the blueprints for making one myself but went cross-eyed looking at it.

Thanks for recommending the REMDreamed, Mancon, will so incredibly check it out.

Thanks Ophelia . It's actually called the REMDreamer..not the REMDreamed. I made a typo! Fixed it in my original post. XD.

Thanks man, I found it. There's also a speaker associated with it. Is that so you can do sounds instead of lights? Sorry if that's a captain obvious. I suppose that would work for blind folks then too. That said, I wonder if we have any hearing impaired members here? If so, the light one would be good, while the speaker thing would work for the vision impaired.

I wonder how much money they make on those things? I'm hyper tonight.

Yeah, l bought one some years ago [the canvas one]. lt did get me lucid the first night, but the novelty wore off and it became more difficult to achieve it again. The dreams were nice, though - very realistic and vivid. Quite a few false awakenings, too.
The worst thing was how uncomfortable it was to wear. l think your talking about the newer version, though - it might be better in that respect. A lot of money if you can't wear it much.

I got a email from The Lucidity Institute, apparently the Novadreamer 2 is coming in June so sometime this month.
