      Sleeping Pills?

I apologize if this has been asked before, I see a lot of threads from a few years back with the same name but I haven't been able to sleep recently and in the past two days I haven't had any dreams either. I hate staying up till 4 in the morning so I'm going to take a pill.
I was just wondering if taking sleeping pills would affect LD or just my dreams in general? Thanks.

Taking sleeping pills will most likely put you in deep sleep, a bit deeper than the REM / dream state.

Thanks, I think I'll try it tonight and if I don't really have a dream or recall anything I'll try and put my sleep schedule back on track.

There are many different herbal teas that can also help bring on sleep. I have had much success with California Poppy (hugely effective), Catnip (very effective), Lemon balm (quite effective), and Oat straw (fairly effective). There are also many others (e.g. valerian, lavender, skullcap, damiana, passion flower).

Thank! I've never really drank tea before, but I'll definitely look into these

Thanks for moving it to the appropriate place.

      Just an update:
So I took the pill, and turns out they don't really make me sleepy, more just numb my body, like a crash after drinking an energy drink.
Unfortunately I didn't really have any dreams, I think I had maybe one, but all I can remember was the thought of it, nothing in a visual sense.
I'm going to take the pill one more time and if I don't have a dream again I'm hoping off of it. Not having a dream in the past 3 days is a drag..
