      Lucid Dream Brainwave for iPad

Has anyone ever tried this app? <link removed-contact administrator>

I've read the reviews and almost all of them are favorable, but you never know which reviews are legit and which are plants by the author and/or their friends. So I'm wondering if anyone on this forum has ever tried it before.

Normally I have no trouble at all remembering my dreams every night. I actually look forward to going to bed because I never know what I'm going to dream about and they're always different. But lately I've been waking up unable to remember any dreams at all and it's kind of scary, like part of me is missing. So I'm considering trying something like this app to see if it will help me "get my mojo back", so to speak.

I think it is just binural beats or isochronic with a fancy visual display, apparently the frequencies produced do aid lucid dreaming though.
I have seen websites offering these tones for free though, so I wouldn't be willing to pay!

You're right. It IS just isochronic beats with a fancy display or visualization. I waffled back and forth and read the reviews some more before finally breaking down and buying it. I left it playing all last night while I was asleep but it didn't seem to help at all. I didn't use headphones; I just had my ipad sitting on a pillow next to me. (The app advertised that since it's isochronic beats, you can listen to it without headphones and it would still work.) I'm going to try it again tonight using headphones.

I also have three apps on my iPhone that do the same thing but they're binaural beats and supposedly DO require headphones. Two were free and one only cost $2.99 so I thought, "Why not?". I've experimented with one of them a bit and one time had a very vivid dream while listening to the Theta REM recording. At least I think it was the Theta. That's why I need to experiment with it more and keep notes. That particular app, Brainwave Dream Inducer, has five tracks: Alpha REM, Beta REM, ThetaREM, Delta REM and Lucid Dreaming. So it's going to take me a while to experiment with each track and see if any of them are beneficial. I'm just desperate to get my dream recall back. I hate not being able to remember my dreams anymore or as well. I'm just hoping my age isn't a factor. (I'll be 50 next year.)

I've had this app for a while now but put it on the back burner until today.

I decided to lay down for an afternoon nap after a hike because I was feeling exceptionally tired and had a strong urge to try this app out again.

I set the app settings on the "Lucid Dream" track for 1 hour with the volume low enough I could fall asleep but high enough I could hear it well.

Honestly, I couldnt fall asleep to it, but, it was mainly because right at the end of the hour I had a strong urge to pee. So I got up, and used the bathroom.

I noticed I was feeling exceptionally relaxed, more than normal. My body felt tingly and heavy. Being aware of this, I did a RC but I was awake.

I went back to my bed with no intention to fall asleep but as soon as I laid down, I was out.

And to my surprise I had a lucid dream upon falling asleep. I realized I was in a dream when I was in a store talking to the clerk and my speech started to slur and she was looking at me all crazy. So I got out of there, was in the parking lot walking to my truck and I jumped up in the air to see if I could fly; it was a no go! Now a bit confused, I tried again; no go! But then I fell to my stomach and was floating about an inch of the ground and it was then i knew, I was dreaming.

I think this app definitely contributed to my lucid dream. I will try again tonight by listening to the entire Lucid Dreaming track before I go to sleep. I am pretty certain it put my brain in a different state that helped cause the lucidity.
