Don't ask me why this only just dawned on me, but after reading several topics on audio cues and music to help induce lucid dreams, I was prepared to make an attempt and had a thought before even beginning:

Once you've heard the cue (whether it worked for you or not), do you continue to hear music throughout your dream, or do you tune it out? If the former, has it ever bugged you? I'm sure that anyone who develops the appropriate dream control can work around it, but since I've only had 15 seconds of lucidity since joining (still optimistic, always a new method to try), I wanted to know if the same thing that triggered the lucidity could very well jar me out of it as a beginner.

BTW, for those curious, I haven't gone through with this yet as I can't find out how to set the alarm on my CD player, thus making it so I can't get the ambient noise track I've burned to play at the right time. I'll get it eventually.

I've been using the Hemi-Sync Lucid Dreaming Series tapes (put them on my iPod), and for one, they get me a tad annoyed, and I noticed that I haven't been dreaming much. I doubt it's the tapes though.

They do get me pretty close to Sleep Paralysis, though.

I try to deny myself any illusions or delusions, and I think that this perhaps entitles me to try and deny the same to others, at least as long as they refuse to keep their fantasies to themselves. - Christopher Hitchens
