      Valerian root?

Ok ,so i bought some Valerian root (and Calamus root) offline, the site suggested -

"Make a tea with equal parts of whole Calamus root, and you have a perfect combination to help with lucid dreaming."

My only problem is i don't know how to prepare it! Stupid i know , the place i got it from can't advise how to use/prepare anything they sell () I have been searching on the net but haven't found anything useful.

Does anybody have any ideas? Can i just eat a small piece of it ? Or is there a specific way to prepare it?

      Any advice would be great

...make a tea with it, like the site suggested.

Take some small pieces of both, and steep them in hot water. If you have some sort of tea ball, that's perfect, load it up and brew away. If not, I would suggest either using something like cheese cloth, or steeping it directly, and then straining it into a new cup.
      Yeah.

I've read that calamus makes alot of ppl ill on erowid experience reports.

I can get both Calamus and valerian Root easily at a local herbal shop, but I don't have any positive experience with valerian root having tried it in pre-bedtime teas before.
