      Ear Plugs!

I have tried to WILD two nights in a row and I keep getting distracted by outside noises that are beyond my control (road nearby )

      I need some ear plugs.

      Cheap, but good.

      What do you suggest?

I use the "Hearos" brand, which you can find on the site below if you do a little digging. I've never had any problems with them.

Just go to Walgreens and pick up a pack of seven (pairs) for about $5. They should last you a month or more, assuming you don't have really waxy ears.

Are they made out of anything in particular that makes them different from the rest?

I'm not very picky... I'm just wondering if there is a special kind that will make me feel deaf lol

I personally use a pair of Mack's silicone earplugs. They do an excellent job sealing off the ears, and they're quite comfortable due to the moldability and the fact that they don't go deep into the ears, but they don't last long. I'm at the end of the life of my current ones, as they're about a month old and even soap and water can't get all the grime out. However, it was only about $3.50 for 2 pairs, so the price isn't that bad.

Citizen, I highly recommend "Joe's Earplugs" ( http://www.joesearplugs.com ). They're cheap but more than that they're COMFORTABLE and they work.

I've also used ear plugs by "Mack's" only I used the kind made of foam and are shaped like small cylinders (the silicone ones hurt for some reason). I found mine at Target, Walgreens, Eckerds, etc.

I don't think the type really matters all that much. Most will do the job. None will seal out noise completely, but most that are available in drugstores or most stores will do a pretty good job of blocking out alot of diturbing noise.

well, thats not what your looking for probably, but I'll just add that at hearing aid shops you can get ear-plugs that are shaped by your own ear canal, and block sound completely ( Apart from the sound that reach your inner-ear by the vibrations of your skull ).

if the money isn’t a problem i would recommend Shure E Serie. we use them at work because it is very loud. i have also bought one at amazon for private use to get max out of "brain entrainment " sound (binaural and isochronic).
