      Smile Meditation?

So I'm reading Stop Sleeping Through Your Dreams by Charles McPhee, and it's really interesting so far. One of the things he said can help induce lucidity is to do something that will clear your head after you wake up and then go right back to sleep again. He has a long, drawn-out physiological reason as to why, and one of the things he suggests you can do is meditation (along with brushing your teeth and making love :o)

My questions are, does meditation help improve lucidity and/or dream recall in any way? Does anyone have any personal experience with it? Thanks :)

I'm not an expert, but from what I understand thus far, meditation doesn't DIRECTLY effect your becoming Lucid, but it DOES effect your chances of it. For instance; the WILD technique takes an immense amount of concentration. The odds of you being able to achive a WILD without having a clear mind is slim to none. However, if you meditate beforehand and clear your mind, than maybe you will have more of a chance.

Someone with more experience take over for me, that's all I know on the subject! I hope that helped a little bit.

P.S, I replied to your other thread also =]

I had meditated everyday for six months before attempting my first WILD, I used galantamine during the attempt though. I was meditating for spirituality, not for lucid purposes at first.

I think it helps quite a bit.
