Rules:
• Honor system: Be honest and trust others to be honest.
• Lucid dreams must be posted in your dream journal on DV with link posted here to count. If it’s short, you can put it in your post in a spoiler. If you don't want to post it because of sensitive matters or anything like that, then you can PM it to me.
• Dreams must be lucid for Tasks and Goals to score points.
• Don't abuse the point system - No spamming. Spamming means intentionally finding loopholes and using sneaky tactics to get ahead of other members, rather than earning points the normal ways. If you have a plan and think it might be spamming, PM me to ask. Any points achieved via spamming will be automatically disqualified. Please play fair and remember that this is a casual competition with friends. Encourage others and celebrate their successes as well as your own!
• If you have any questions ask away. I will update the OP if anything in particular needs extra clarification.
• I will surround any important competition announcements in a big, bold announcement block in the thread. Even if you don't read the rest of the posts in the thread, please at least skim the thread for any potential announcement blocks - they contain important information regarding the competition. They're huge and should stick out pretty easily.

Even if you aren’t scoring any points, please post it in the thread so we know you are participating. If you know you will be unavailable for a period of time, please post something to let us know, or PM me (Saizaphod). At the half-way mark of the competition, if the lack of participation of some competitors has significantly thrown off the balance of the competition, I reserve the right to restructure the teams to restore a fair balance. This will only occur if the discrepancy is due to lack of participation. Any changes will be performed with permission of the individuals affected.

POINTS

Daytime Practice (Beginner and Intermediate only)

• Reality Checks (Decent/Good/Excellent) - 0.5 point/1 point/2 points

Decent: You've performed a few quick checks throughout the day.
Good: You've interrupted the day a few times to question reality for around 30 seconds each time.
Excellent: You've interrupted the day many times to question reality for around a minute each time.

Tip: You will be better served by performing fewer, thoughtful checks compared to more, thoughtless checks.

• Meditation(Brief/Medium/Long) - 0.5 point/1 point/2 points (Counts once per day)

Brief: Less than 15 minutes.
Medium: 15-30 minutes.
Long: More than 30 minutes.

• Prospective Memory (max 1 point per day)
1. Choose targets each morning
2. Recognize targets and perform a reality check within a few seconds of recognizing the target
-If opting to recognize targets only on the first occurrence, score yourself simply as 0 points or 1 point.
-If opting to recognize targets on each occurrence throughout the day, use the rubric below.
Target hit less than ~33% of occurrences : 0 points
Target hit between ~33% - 66% of occurrences: 0.5 point
Target hit on greater than ~66% of occurrences: 1 point

Induction and Recall (Beginner and Intermediate only)

In order for you to get points for an LD, you need to write it in your DJ on DV and post the link here.
If it is your first DILD or WILD ever, +10 extra points.
If you think more than 2 fragments are from the same dream, count them as 1 Full Dream instead.

• Remember a Non-Lucid Fragment - 0.5 point
• Remember a Full Non-Lucid Dream - 1 point

• First DILD of the Night - 10 points
• Subsequent DILDs - 5 points

• First WILD of the Night - 10 points
• Subsequent WILDs - 5 points
Note: DEILD after a non-lucid dream counts as a WILD

• Chain a Lucid Dream - 2 points (Max. 10 points/night)
Return to a lucid dream after a brief awakening mid-LD. A DEILD chain is over once you are awake long enough to write down the dream.

• Catch a False Awakening - 2 points (Max. 10 points/night)
Continue or gain lucidity during a false awakening.

• WBTB (success or failure) - 2 points (Counts once per night)

• Experience hypnagogia - 1 point (Counts once per night)
Experience hypnagogic imagery, sounds, sensations or other stimuli when on the brink of entering a dream.

• Experience sleep paralysis - 1 point (Counts once per night)

Dream Control Tasks

IMPORTANT! - Points don't stack for completing a single task that falls in multiple categories (i.e. Normal Dream Control, Personal Goal, Theme Challenge etc.). Instead, it counts for the highest-scoring category. If you complete the same task multiple times in the lucid dream/lucid chain, then it can count for the additional categories. Example: if you complete the Theme Challenge "Transform into a robot", it only counts for the 20 points for the Theme Challenge, and not an additional 10 for the advanced control task of full transformation. However, if you were to complete the transformation a second time in the same dream, you would then score those 10 points. Note that this rule does not apply to 3-Step Tasks, as those have always been purposely stackable.

Each task can be completed once per dream/chain.
Advanced versions of tasks earn points instead of basic versions, not in addition.

Basic Tasks

• Reality Check / Stabilization - 1 point

• Interact with a Dream Character - 2 points

• Practice a Waking Life Hobby (Beginner and Intermediate Only) - 5 points

• Ask for Advice (Beginner and Intermediate Only) - 5 points (eg. ask a DC or electronic device)

• Eat/Drink Something - 5 points

• Use an Electronic Device - 5 points (doesn't have to work, just try)

• Use an Ordinary Object to Perform Dream Control - 5 points (eg. car, phone, watch, glasses, pen)

• Fly - 5 points

• Telekinesis - 5 points

• Super Strength - 5 points

• Super Speed - 5 points

• Gain Invulnerability - 5 points (must test to prove, eg. jump off a cliff)

• Basic Summoning - 5 points (eg. summoning from pocket / making someone appear from behind you / around the corner.)
+5 points if it is a fictional character from a book/movie/TV show/anime or Dream Guide

• Basic Unsummoning/Banishing - 5 points (eg. look away and back to make something/someone disappear)

• Object/DC Changing - 5 points (change object/DC into something different, or change its size/shape.)
+5 points if it is a fictional character from a book/movie/TV show/anime or Dream Guide

• Push your hand through a solid object - 5 points (note: 'pushing finger through hand' RC does not count)

• Partial Transformation - 5 points

• Invisibility - 5 points (must test to prove, eg. look at your body or sneak past someone undetected)

• Change Gravity - 5 points (doesn't have to be for everything, at least one object)

• DC Manipulation / Mind Control - 5 points

• Unspecified Dream Control (any powers not listed here) - 7.5 points


Advanced Tasks

• Teleport - 10 points

• Element Manipulation - 10 points

• Fully Phase through Big Solid Object - 10 points (eg. the wall, keep your eyes open)

• Advanced Flying - 10 points (flying at high speed / into space)

• Advanced Summoning - 10 points (make something/someone appear right in your direct view / summon something larger than human-size)
+5 points if it is a fictional character from a book/movie/TV show/anime or a Dream Guide

• Advanced Unsummoning/Banishing - 10 points (make something/someone disappear right in your direct view / unsummon something larger than human-size)

• Mass Telekinesis - 10 points (use telekinesis on 5+ objects at the same time, or one enormous object - something that can't be lifted in waking life)

• Advanced Object/DC Changing - 10 points (change enormous object/DC into different object/DC, or many objects/DCs at the same time)

• Time Control - 10 points (speeding up/slowing down/stopping time intentionally)

• Full Transformation - 10 points

• Use an Unordinary Object to Perform Dream Control - 10 points (eg. a tesseract, a magnetic field, a black hole, a living object.)

Dream Theme

If your dream (lucid or non-lucid) matches the theme, you earn an additional 3 points. Points for theme can only be claimed once per night. The theme might be open to slight interpretation (just keep in mind the Honor System).

Theme Challenge - Parts & Artifacts

Challenges can be scored multiple times during the competition, but scored only once per night.
Same Parts/Artifacts found can't be re-scored again later in the competition (but they will score for Persistent Dream Element - 5 Points)
Challenges can be stacked, ie. If you find a robotic part, you can try to merge it into yourself to score the 'Turn into a robot' Task/Use the alien artifact to turn yourself into an alien etc.
Challenges score Challenge points first over other points in the competition (read Dream Control Task first section.)

Robots:

Find a robotic part - 10 points (+5 points if it's animated/electronic/works)
Turn into a robot- 20 points (+5 points for Full Transformation)
Visit a Machine World- 30 points (+5 points if you take a teammate/enemy with you)

Aliens:

Find an alien artifact - 10 points (+5 points if it's animated/actionable/alive)
Turn into an alien - 20 points (+5 points for Full Transformation)
Visit an Alien World - 30 points (+5 points if you take a teammate/enemy with you)

Persistent Lucid Elements

Points only start counting after the second occurrence. Occurrences before the competition also count, and they can have happened in non-lucids).
Points for each persistent lucid element can only be claimed once per night.
Elements cannot be something that exist in real life as they are. Example: your family/your phone/your home etc.
Persistent Realm = created by the dreamer intentionally (ie. a dream palace), Place = somewhere you've chosen to visit in separate dreams.
You have to be lucid to score the full points. If any of the below occur while non-lucid, you gain 2 points.

• Meet a Persistent Dream Character - 5 Points
• Catch a Persistent Dream Element/Item - 5 Points (eg. a special gadget or a thing like that)
• Visit a Persistent Place - 10 Points
• Visit a Persistent Realm - 20 Points

Three-Step Tasks

Choose 3 different Dream Control Tasks from the Basic and Advanced Dream Control tasks above, excluding RC/Stabilization. Challenge Tasks and Team/Enemy tasks can not be declared for the Three-Step tasks.

Beginner: Pick any of the Basic or Advanced Dream Control Tasks

Intermediate: At least 1 of the 3 must be Advanced Dream Control Tasks

Expert: All 3 must be Advanced Dream Control Tasks

Tasks must be completed in order.
Multiple tasks can be completed in one dream, but they can also be completed in separate dreams.
You may change tasks at any time, even if you are on task 2 or 3, as long as your updated task choices are posted before the night you complete them.
If you choose to include an Unspecified Dream Control task, describe your task here in advance.
In addition to receiving points for the Dream Control task, you will also receive bonus points:

• Complete first chosen task - 5 points

• Complete second chosen task - 10 points

• Complete third chosen task - 15 points

If you complete all 3 tasks during the first week, you may pick 3 more tasks to complete in Week 2. The same difficulty requirements from above apply.

Team Tasks

Need to be lucid to score points.
Asterisks* indicate that points can only be claimed for these tasks once during the competition.
If your teammate(s) matches the competiton theme (Robots-Aliens) with the correct theme, +5 Points

• Meet a teammate - 7 points (once per dream/chain)
Each additional teammate in the same dream/chain - 3 points

• Have your teamfriend complete a lucid task excluding RC/Stabilization(in-dream)* - 10 points

• Have a teammate teach you something* - 10 points

• Have a teammate take you into their dream(figuratively) - 15 points

Enemy Tasks

Need to be lucid to score points.
Note: "Enemy" refers to a member of the competition on a different team than you.
Asterisks* indicate that points can only be claimed for these tasks once during the competition.
If your enemy/enemies matches the competiton theme (Robots-Aliens) with the correct theme, +5 Points


• Meet an enemy - 5 points (once per dream/chain)
Each additional enemy in the same dream/chain - 3 points

• Fight an enemy* - 10 points

• Fight one or more enemies with your teammate(s)* - 20 points

• Convert your enemy to an ally* - 10 points (enemy must start out opposed)

• Convert multiple enemies to allies in the same dream/chain* 20 points (enemies must start out hostile)

Stack bonus

Beginner and intermediate only:

• Fight an expert enemy* - 30 points

Expert only:

• Fight the whole enemy team simultaneously* - 30 points

Personal Goals

Choose your own goals to complete in a lucid dream.
Unlimited additional goals can be selected, but only ONE per night can be claimed for points.
Each goal can only be scored once per competition.
Goals must be different from other tasks in the competition, eg. "telekinesis" is not acceptable. More specific/unique versions may be okay, eg. "use telekinesis on a DC" - ask if you're not sure whether it's too similar to another task.
Goals must require some degree of thought, not just things you might accidentally do in a dream anyway.
You can find some ideas in the Lucid Dares thread under "Anyone Dares".
Post your intended goals in this thread (wrap in spoilers if the list is long). Goals will only be awarded points if they are posted in advance.

• Complete a NEW Personal Goal - 15 points (something that you have never done before in a lucid dream.)

• Complete an OLD Personal Goal - 10 points (something that you have already done in any previous lucid dream, including outside of the competition.)

Dream Journal Points

Points will be awarded at the end of the competition for posting comments in other contestants' Dream Journals. Only DJ entries containing dreams from the competition are included.
Only one comment per DJ entry will earn points (a conversation on the same entry will still count as one.)
At some point during the competition, let us know how many comments you have written.

• 1 point will be awarded for every 3 DJ comments.

This is just a little kick to get people posting in Dream Journals. I feel a lot better about writing in a DJ knowing that people are going to read and comment on it; I am sure others feel like I do. It isn't worth many points because this is a dreaming competition, but it could add a few bonus points to your final score.
When posting comments in a DJ, it is helpful to "like" the entry so that the member will get a notification on DV. You should also "like" any comments on your DJ when you read/respond to them, so that people know you have seen it.
Make sure you read the dreams so you can make a comment with some substance (more than a quick one-word comment.)

Hand-drawn and AI artwork do not stack. Counts once per night.

Tier Bonus
The top scorers in Beginner and Intermediate league earns a bonus for their team based on their position.

1. I'd say Animals and Humans count. The others start to get a bit obscure in my opinion :chuckle: I suppose if you can sense a presence from them then I suppose it counts.

2. Yes, you can choose the same ones for the second week if you manage to complete the first three on the first week.

3. Flying underwater, isn't that swimming? :lol: I'd honestly put it under the "Unspecified dream control", "Super swimming" or something. For the wall you get points for both flying and "Fully Phase through Big Solid Object".

4. Yeah I think it counts as advanced, rule says "summon something larger than human-size". Use your own discretion and remember the honor system :)

5. I'd say yeah, interact with them in another way after the advice asking thing. "Don't abuse the point system - No spamming. Spamming means intentionally finding loopholes and using sneaky tactics"

6. You're on Team Alien so you get points for the Artifact. Also because the Theme Challenges give so much more points over the regular points, they score the Challenge points over the other points first. Ie: You get the 10/15 points for the artifact, but you don't get the extra 5 points for lets say "Use an Electronic Device". However the Dream Control Task IMPORTANT message says this: "Points don't stack for completing a single task that falls in multiple categories (i.e. Normal Dream Control, Personal Goal, Theme Challenge etc.). Instead, it counts for the highest-scoring category. If you complete the same task multiple times in the lucid dream/lucid chain, then it can count for the additional categories. So if you do the thing multiple times in the dream then yeah, it can count for multiple categories. Sorry if it's a "bit" messy but no worries, we'll get there along the way, I'm checking all the posts:chuckle:

7. No, you have to be lucid and aware and in the moment, where you can 100% confidently say to yourself at that moment "Yeah, I'm dreaming, I'm actually here". Same as if you realized RIGHT NOW that you're actually dreaming. It is an age-old question that comes up in every comp. Use your own discretion when asking yourself "was I really lucid or not?". But you'll KNOW when you were actually lucid and not just dreaming of being lucid :chuckle:

8. LD -> wake up -> Back to LD = 1 chain. "Return to a lucid dream after a brief awakening mid-LD. A DEILD chain is over once you are awake long enough to write down the dream." Use your own discretion when you think the chain is over. I have personally usually applied to myself that it is over if I stay awake longer than like 2 minutes or so, but everyone is different.

9. I think it would be fairest if everyone draws their own pictures.

10. Yes, it counts.

(Often my lucids there's something there that looks like it should mean something but I never take the time to try and figure it out because it's a dream and I'm trying to accomplish my own goals. So I want to see what would happen if I tried to get a dc to solve or explain what the thing is. I feel bad just ignoring elements in my dreams sometimes.)

3: See how far I can get after catching an FA, act like nothing is out of the ordinary and complete my morning routine and drive to work all while maintaining lucidity.
(My lucid dreams tend to be on the more on the unrealistic side, so i want to try my best to get more realism by changing my expectations.)

First time participating in the challenge and still learning to navigate dreamviews- are we posting our nightly Results here? I didn’t remember any dreams yesterday sadly but-

1. Reality checks= excellent (about every 2 hours using Sporadic awareness technique lasting 2 ish minutes each time)
2. Meditation= did a guided yoga nidra meditation in the morning for 35 minutes

I'm down to add this, because experiencing hypnagogia is a usually big sign you're approaching/developing your dream/lucidity. I'll add that along with experiencing a sleep paralysis as well(probably not the best thing to go after, but some comfort points :chuckle:)

Day 1 Report
Yesterday at Noon to this morning

I did pretty good with reality checks yesterday. I set a stopwatch on my watch every time I reality check, and I think it never got past two or three hours. Still, I could do better. When night came I tried hard to get to bed by the time I set. Later, I woke for my wake back to bed. I didn't have an alarm set that night, so waking up naturally was nice. I couldn't remember any dreams, though. I performed SSILD and drifted off to sleep around the second long loop.

I became lucid in the balcony of the house, i don't remember how. I touched the fences, walls, etc. to see how real was the dream. I did an RC by counting my fingers. Then I went inside the house and tried smelling and tasting things. I ate some peanuts and went outside. Now, I was trying to remember the tasks of the competition, i remembered one of them was flying so I flew around. Then I remembered teleportation, i tried to teleport but it failed. Then my dream ended.

Then I go back to "sleep" : I'm walking outside, following the road in a forest, then there's mostly a concrete road and less nature. I'm heading towards a specific place. On the way, a grandma with pink lipstick and yellow dye painted all over her skin is making zombie or Frankenstein noises and mannerisms in a car with no rooftop and she has an automatic hairdressing machine on her head. But I know this is normal in this place. I've arrived at my destination.

I see the beach, with high waves frozen in time, which I try to unfreeze using telekinesis : the waves start moving again every few seconds, like It's glitching. The sea is very rough, the tides are getting closer to me quickly and without stopping. I take off one sock to not wet it but I don't have time to take off the other one when the waves become more and more violent.

The waves are so violent that I have to run, trying not to get my remaining sock wet. Then there's one of my sisters and some other people. She explains to us how to deal with the incoming waves : we have to stay behind the large wall/block of ice, and jump when the water comes in. We do it and the water is cold because of the ice.

So, you gain +3 points for your dream matching the theme (Robots and/or Aliens, see Dream Theme), but you don't get the Enemy Tasks points (5 points for meeting an enemy and 10 points for fighting an enemy) because this enemy has to be a person of the Robots team (like DoctorFoxy or Sweven for exemple)

Also, if you fight an expert enemy (Oneirin), you get 30 points (counts once in the whole comp)

I woke up and was recalling another dream, when I had a sense i might be dreaming, so I did a nose plug and could breathe. I got up from bed and I noticed a cat that I identified as my cat and I phased through the floor to go to ground level and went outside and jumped up to fly. I noticed that the cat was flying with me. I gave it a pet and it tried to bite my hand, so I kept petting it so it couldn't bite my hand and I did this until I woke up.

Day 1 and 2 didn't go so great, day 1 I slept through my alarm, day 2 I woke up, turned off my alarm then went back to sleep without really thinking about it, I also forgot to write down my dream although im going to set a reminder on my phone to write it down that goes at the same time my alarm goes off so hopefully tomorrow I actually remember to write it down. From here on out i'm gonna try my hardest, this should be fun!

Reality checks have been good and same with meditation although I usually meditate for 25 minutes before going to sleep anyway since it helps me fall asleep although starting from tonight i'm going to start doing 35 minutes to score extra point!

I'm going to be using SSILD since I have a good understanding of it and have prior practise using it, hopefully the competition allows me to get some lucids!

Exactly what Agthoek said. Dream Theme points count whether you're lucid or not and on the same team or not, so +3. There's also missing the mention of lucid requirement on the Enemy Task which should be there. Adding it now. Need to be lucid for Enemy Task points!

Day 3, slept through my alarm again somehow, i've turned my alarm to max volume and i'm going to place it on my bed so hopefully it will 100% wake me up.

Meditation was excellent, did 35 minutes before going to sleep same with reality checks, I managed to stop my day to do a thoughtful reality check lots of times throughout the day. Although I didn't count it must've been over 15, I spent over a minute genuinely questioning whether I was dreaming or not, usually if I think about something enough it starts appearing in my dreams so hopefully as a result of this i'll start questioning whether im dreaming in my dreams although only time will tell .

If my alarm doesn't wake me up tonight i'm not sure what i'll do, if anybody has any suggestions feel free to share.

I tried to summon a chocolate pie and summoned batteries a couple of times until I noticed a slice of chocolate pie with whipped cream topping in a small plastic container on a table. I took out the chocolate pie and took a bite out of it and noticed a subtle chocolate flavor. I tried to take another bite out of it and woke up.

via PM: i was in the gym where i fence. I was walking toward the corner of the hall where some people from my school were. Then there was a vague bit where i went after some people through hallways which aren't there irl, and i supposedly taught the others to lucid dream? though i didn't actually do that, that's what the dream story said. When i came back i realized i was dreaming, and i didn't really do any goals or anything, i was walking and feeling around for a bit and marveling at the vividness, but then i woke up.

For the second one i was next to a lake or river with my father and mother, and there was a bridge on the lake. I had access to all of the surges from brandersons SLA, and i was lucid while my father gave me some tasks to practice with those surges, like sliding objects back and forth across the bridge and jumping into the cognitive realm while a boat passed through there. I tried to deild at the end of this one but failed

I'd say your fundamentals have to be solid for supplements to work in the first place, so go for it if you've already decided to use them. As for where I stand on supplements in general though, I wouldn't recommend it. Played with galantamine previously and had mixed results. Supposedly safe, but the info out there is less than clear. Plus, I've gotten similar/better results from regular practice alone.

Since you can be aware of your IRL body while still dreaming/LDing (has happened to me), It might be possible to control it while still in the dream state. I've heard about a guy who, while dreaming, heard his IRL phone ringing. He became lucid (or was already) and became aware of his IRL body. While still in his dream, he could move his IRL arm and answered the phone. He even managed to say hello, but heard gibberish and woke up right after

So maybe the most hardcore dreamers can go for something like that (controlling your IRL body while staying in an LD), or maybe I'm too optimistic about people's capabilities

Anyways, I understand that my idea isn't applied, that might've been too crazy lol (maybe making a whole other comp dedicated to that is the right move)

Final Thoughts

• My recall tanked at the end of this week, which I attribute to late bedtimes.
• I still think SSILD works well for me. Almost all of my lucid dreaming related experiences are regained awareness, and SSILD somehow creates a lot more of those and false awakenings. So I'm trying to get really good at catching false awakenings and practicing SSILD every night.
• First attempt at meditation Guided Hypnosis. The thing is, this guy also makes some meditation stuff, and I feel like the practices are (Even just superficially) connected. Nevertheless, I want to try actual meditation, alone, and see what that's like.

I've been counting those prospective memory targets separately, percentage-wise, but always keeping the maximum points total at 1.0. We're with my brother in some random bottom-floor apartment, when I look out of a window and into the sky. There's an unnaturally black and squarely-shaped cloud looming over a small lake. We turn to look at a small television at the corner of the room, and there's news broadcasts of an alien ship in the atmosphere. No f*cking way! I look back and the thing is now moving and I can see taints of metal behind the clouds. Holy sh*t! We get extremely uneasy, we're almost directly underneath a massive UFO. I do an instantaneous nose pinch and feel air moving into my lungs. Wait - I do it again. I realize I'm dreaming. Sort of as to ground the situation and to make it more realistic, I pretend my brother is real and tell him to pinch his nose as well. At first he refuses to believe it's a dream but I convince him. We then head into a corner bathroom to hide from the aliens and to prepare to teleport away(which we do, but I started losing lucidity quickly after).

If I had retained awareness through the rest of the semi-lucid (that lasted around 5minutes), I'd gotten points for Teleportation, Meeting an Enemy(Tbox), Mass Telekinesis(Destroying an entire shopping mall), Use an Electronic Device, Gain Invulnerability(Going through a shredder unharmed), and Basic Summoning :chuckle: Only after waking I realized I was pretty much dreaming about being lucid for the remainder of the dream. :eek:

I've been attempting the Hypnagogic Technique (as described in Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming) for a while now, and keep falling asleep too early and losing track of my thoughts. For tonight's attempt I'm going to try to go to bed earlier and sleep for longer before waking up for WILD, so I shall see if that helps.

I think supplements for dreaming are not quite the same as steroids for competition. You don't get guaranteed results, for one thing. For another, what constitutes "supplement": what about vitamins? Having a good diet? It's a slippery slope and not worth IMO going down that rathole. I use galantamine on and off and I find it's quite hit or miss. Sometimes the dreams are amazing, and sometimes I lose the entire night of sleep. I actually haven't had a LD from galantamine in a very long time, just vivid dreams.

I don't actually remember this one very well. it started in a room with someone i know from a discord server, and then we "went into a dream" together where i knew i was dreaming, and i walked for a little bit marvelling at the vividness but then woke up.

I was on a train with someone else i know from a discord server, who was writing a book you read a part in, and then dream the next bit, and read again, and dream the next part. Someone asked him when he'd be done, he said soon. Together the three of us walked past some buildings, i knew i was dreaming but i did think the others were really here like some sort of shared dream. So we had a conversation and the other person tried to upload an image with dream control. That failed so i tried to change the settings, and soon after that i woke up.

Super summarized: I become lucid on Summoner's Rift(League of Legends map) next to the Dragon pit. I'm a small ant and I can see my small crawling "hands". I turn(not intentionally) back into my normal human form. I look at the wall of the dragon pit and there are people fighting on the middle lane. - I "wake up" in a random apartment. I realize I'm still dreaming. I go to the balcony and I'm 4-6 stories high. I think about jumping but I'm too scared, the dream feels too real. I go back inside and look around the house and kitchen for a while.

DILD: I became lucid, I decided to fly around, and I saw two mountains, I carefully chose this taller on that had a weird pattern, and then fly around it and managed to make a cave appear on it and I flew into the cave and saw a different world.

DILD: Lucid. I was swallowed by a giant whale like sea monster, but I willingly went in and then sort of phased into it, dispersed my body into dust so I didn't have a physical body, and then became the giant whale thing, and had fun swimming and eating fish

Man, that was a good competition. One of the better ones I've had. I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep the good daily practices I've established going from here on out. Excited for the next one!

Not a bad final night! No luck getting lucid, but I had abnormally good dream recall, and I've started to realize that I see better results when sleeping longer pre-WBTB (and also generally going to bed earlier). This is my first time participating in a comp and also my first time interacting with DreamViews, and it's been great! Thank you @Saizaphod for hosting it!! :D

Life has been complex lately to say the least, so there hasn't been much focus left for lucid dreaming this time around...but hey I didn't do too bad!

I put some feelers out about this before, but just to bring it back into the conversation: I'm looking at hosting the next competition using Discord as the main platform. It'll probably be a bit of a learning curve, but I think it'll solve some of the headaches we have from the slowdown/delays on the forum. I still want the DV forum to be involved because nostalgia, but also want to make the competitions more functional. I'm excited to see how we can evolve! :reading:

Final Thoughts:

Week Two was hindered by poor sleep habits and other activities that interfered with sleeping. I am just now getting my sleep schedule back under control. Meanwhile, I had a lot of success from that lucid dream. I've also continued testing out meditation, or guided hypnosis, but I can't say how it's benefited me yet.
