ok first off here's a link to a video. http://myweb.cableone.net/jlflanagan/lion.wmv if you have a queasy stomach i strongly urge you not to view it. seriously. it involves hunting a lion, so please don't watch if you might be disturbed by the death of a lion. all you need to know is that it's scary. -- now i watched this video right before i went to bed a couple nights ago... i wake up in a green field and i see a big lion staring me in the eyes. i think to run, but then i know he would catch me. so i make a deal with the lion... i tell him that i'm the strongest human alive and if he concedes the fight i will not kill him. he concedes. this is where i feel immense relief. i go for a walk in the grass, its getting real dark. i see a fire so i go to it. at the fire is a girl from school, i like this girl a lot. we dont say anything, we just sit and look at the flame. i can feel the heat from the fire on my face. we decide to go into the tent that appeared as i had my back turned. we go in and start talking. the conversation is really light hearted, but this lion thing is in the back of my mind. just then we hear a roar. i say "it's ok, i made a deal with him," but this doesn't comfort her. she gets antsy, like she really doesn't want to be there. i say, "don't worry. i have a gun." this is when i pull out a big shiny smith and wesson .357, i can read that on the side. she looks at it and then she looks more calm. she asks to see it. i give it to her. right as i extend my arm she snatches it up and puts the barrel in her mouth. she pulls the trigger. her head violently snaps back and blood turns the cloth of the tent behind her pure read. her eyes fill with blood and she starts crying blood. her nose starts bleeding, her ears, mouth too... she slumps over on her side. just then the lion attacks the tent. i fall onto my side and i see her bloody face lying lifeless in front of me as the tent falls on us... everything just turns black. god that was one fucked up nightmare. now you know what kind of shit goes on in this mind... i bet i'll be a good poet when i grow up.

Wow. Are you ok? That all sounded pretty intense. Jeez, I read it and felt the intensity--and I wasn't even the one that experienced it! Some of the symbolism going on there is interesting. The deal with the lion, the presense of the gun, the girl's use of the gun, the color red. I hope I'm not too out of line saying this, but it sounds like maybe there is some guilt there involving this girl or someone/something close to you? Or maybe you feel that some situation is your fault? Or you feel this girl is unpredictable and possibly in danger because of it? I don't know... I'm not prying or anything (it's none of my business, really). I'm just tossing out ideas.

it wasn't this particular girl, but i am feeling guilty about a girl. and these girls do look similar. -- i found out that my friend's sister (1 year younger than me) was in rehab 2 months ago for heroine use... serious stuff... i've smoked out with her before. i think that might be the cause of this dream... i don't really want to talk about it, but i'm pretty sure that could be what's up. -- i only found out about the rehab thing a week ago. she's better. but now her brother is in a/a. i want to comfort her but i think things would be awkward between us. ahh the dilemmas of today's youth. whoa is me.

Like I said, the details are absolutely none of my business, but I do want to wish you the best with whatever is going on in that situation. I hope everything works out ok for those involved.

ah! ive seen worse! when you said those with a weak stomach or whatever, i expected to see a lot of blood, but there was none! ive seen this one video where this family was on a safari, and this guy got out of the car to take a close picture of a lion, and the lions killed him. they then proceeded to eat him in front of his family. bad times. you guys ever see the faces of death videos? by the way, sounds like a fucked up dream.

Hey Lost Soul.. great interpretation. I LOVE interpreting dreams but it does get hard when you don't know the person, but you did an awesome job with this one. And I FOR ONE WILL NOT LOOK AT THIS VIDEO CLIP. Things like that disturb me way too much. I watched this documentary on Court TV about this guy who murdered a guy in jail, and they showed the actual murder that was on video tape, and he was repeatingly stabbing and stabbing this other prisoner in the head and oh my gosh, it was so disturbing that it bothered for an entire weekend. I cried at the thought that a person, a soul, could be so desensitized (sp?) that they could kills a person so coldly. I had to pray to God to remove this image my my head. Blissful

Bliss, I watched the video. There is no blood or gore. All they do is see a lion. They get in a good spot to shoot it. They shoot at it and hit it. It then comes running to attack and jumped past a person. They continue shooting. It runs away and dies.

yeah there's not much gore, i just know that it disturbs some people to see another creature die. -- and guys i don't want you to think that's what hunting is like. to me hunting is more personal than what those cowards did.

NEVER AGAIN!! It's like watching a trian reck. This is SAD! Now I have to tell my mind that the reason why all those assholes were shooting the lion is because the lion was known to kill innocent people so they had to put him/her down. This to me, killing for personal pleasure or because you "just don't like 'em" is very hard for me to understand. It's sad and it brings me to tears.
