      My motorcycle mama and Icedawg

Interesting night, here are a couple:

      #1 - Testing to be a mod. (non-lucid)
I was in a van with some friends, we were traveling to a big event way up in the mountains. After arriving at the lodge, Icedawg met me outside and we began discussing what knowledge is required to be a mod. We spoke at some length about phpBB, how it worked and how to threads are organized within it. I never realized that it takes three levels of indirection to get to a thread so that if can be moved, but that was software internals.
All mod candidates were then taken to this room to take the test.
Strange, but I never realized I would need knowledge of Linear Algebra and Matrices in order to perform as a mod. You just never know when those college math courses will be useful.
I did pass the test however, and at least one other person did.
Afterward, he had BBQ catered in for everyone, about 150 people. Not the cheap pulled pork either, real ribs and steaks. Great food!
Anyway, after eating, we all boarded the bus to return home. I left never knowing if I was to be a mod of not!

#2 - The cool one. (lucid)
My wife and I were driving down a nice country road. The landscape was flat with small rolling hills. Must have been in Ohio. It was a bright and sunny day.
I applied the brakes to the car and realized that is wasn't slowing down. *Light goes on*.
I looked over at my wife in the passenger seat and said "Look, device failure, a sure sign that we are dreaming. And look no matter how hard I press, or how firmly I poke with this umbrella, the car will not slow down."
She looked at me kind of wierd, like "What are you on today?"
I continued, "Remember how I was explaining lucid dreaming to you? You know where you are asleep, but know you are dreaming?"
      She said she remembered.
I told her, "You have got to try to remember this because I am going to ask you about it in the morning."
      "OK, I'll try"
"Hang on", I said, "I'm going to show you some of the things you can do in a lucid dream".
At that point, the car disolved. We were in a sitting position hovering about three feet off the ground. She was behind me with her arms around my waist. Kind of how two people ride a motorcycle.
      "Here we go!"
I shot us up about 1000 feet into the air under extreme acceleration. The acceleration was similar to the Power Tower at Cedar Point. I heard her suck in her breath.
"Wasn't that cool?", I asked. I then spun us around like a top, or an ice skater.
We made a few strafing runs at the highway below, lots of sqweals from my wife.
"Now", I said, "It's really going to get cool"
Below us, I saw a nice green pond. The water was clean and I could see plants and fish swimming.
I splashed us down under the water and began swimming. My wife let go.
After a few moments, I turned and said "You don't have to hold your breath, you can breath under water", but she was gone.
      I then woke up.

      Later...
I usually get up about 30 minutes before my wife to get ready for work and to rouse the kids.
I couldn't wait for her to get up, I wanted to see if she remembered.
That was a very long 30 minutes.
Finally, footsteps upstairs, the door opend and she descends the stairway where I was waiting at the bottom.
"Good morning", I said, "Did you remember?"
      "Remember what?", she replied.
"The dream I told you to remember."
"What? You didn't tell me to remember any dream."
"Yes I did, in my dream last night, I told you to remember."
"It was your dream", she said, "How was I supposed to know?"

Anyway, I recounted the dream to her, she didn't remember any of it and thinks it a little strange that I expected her to.

      Better luck next time!

It was kind of cool meeting the Dawg! He's a nice guy!

Trust me, if you met me, it would be very easy to describe me, im probabily not what you think i look like.

Shawndow, I'll add you to my list of people to meet if you promise to leave your coat hangers at home!

Aphius, the other person was someone I work with that doesn't even know about this board. Isn't that ironic?

that's fine, 'cept of course that you have to include a little TM after its use, as well as pay a royalty fee of $5.00 each time you decide to use it.
