      First Induced LD, awesome

Induced lucidity has always been a little bit of a tickle in the back my head for the past 6 months or so. I've always wanted to do it, but fear of sleep paralysis and seeing the little demon, always put me off the trail to lucidity.

Not last night though, I had a really vivid non-lucid dream about racing at Spa in the F1 championship. I woke up feeling completely cheated out of the experience after getting caught up in a massive wreck and being shunted out of the dream.

      "F- that, I'm going back"

I stayed in the same position I was when I woke up, closed my eyes, and repeated the phrase "F1 at spa" over and over. I slowly felt like things were getting, I don't know, jagged and fuzzy. My vision turned tan and i saw trippy patterns, I started to resist but focusing on the phrase kept me relaxed.

Then I stopped feeling the fuzziness, and things felt kind of weird. I felt myself slipping and I opened my eyes to see daylight. I climbed out of bed without any clothes, which was strange because I always sleep clothed.

I walked out naked, pausing for a second at the front door. Felt the grass between my toes, the sun spitting god rays between the pine outside my door; it was great. Then, I don't know why, I just started running, my neighborhood was exactly the same as how I see it every day. Only this time when I ran, it was at super human speed, houses seemed to blend together and when I stopped, there were the golden arches of McDonalds sitting in front of me.

Imagine my confusion. At this point, the dream started to slip, I could feel it getting a little dimmer and I opened my real eyes and crawled out of bed to post this.

Things didn't go quite as planned, but seeing as how I achieved lucidity, I'm pretty happy. I'm not quite sure which method I used, it sounds like a WBTB with a bit of WILD in there.

Here's to hopefully more lucid dreams.

      Sounds like a cool dream!

I am really afraid to have a dream about monsters, vampires, beasts shortly things that make you scare. So I always wanted a dream like yours, sunshine, grass below your feet etc.

Congratulations! I hope I'll have the same dream ^^

You don't have to fear monsters when you're lucid, you can just stop, let the monster attack you and it'll simply disappear as long as you don't fear it. Or you could turn it into a bunny, whatever you prefer

Also, congrats on your first lucid!
