      What a WILD nap

      OMG, what a great feeling!!

This is my first WILD experience (i'm no longer a WILD virgin). Wow, the feeling of vibrations as I was sliping into a LD. When the vibrations stopped I didn't know at first should I open my eyes or keep them closed. I opened them and OMG was it blurry, then I tried a command: "give me clarity" such vividness and realism. I did around 5 RCs just to make sure that this is a dream. Through the whole dream I heard a sound of a mouse button clicking it was my mum playing solitare in my room in RL while I was LDing. That was interesting. Anyway the LD is of sexual nature so skipping the details. Wow i'm so happy :yumdumdoodledum:

Tommorow I'm taking a nap too. Tonight I'm trying a WILD too. I can't wait.

      WOOHOO!!!!!!

Congratulations to you!!! Napping is awesom. I almost always have unintentional WILDs when I nap. I suddenly just snap back to consciousness when the vibrations start b/c they are so intense!!!

Next time after waking up from your WILD nap LD all excited...just lay there and I promise that those vibrations will come again and you can enter another LD. Sometimes I do this for like 2 hours. Going in and out and in and out....

      awesome.

How long do you guys usualy nap? And do you just try to sleep without any concentration part involving?
When I nap I tend to try to WILD like every time... usualy that spoils a good dream-nap since im to awake and beeing awake takes time. When I just napnap it feels like I have to nap atleast two hours to have a dream.

I just lay down to take a nap like I would normally just be falling asleep. No intention to WILD. Then usually I will just sort of snap back to consciousness when the vibrational stage begins which is why I call them unintentional WILDs. They just kinda happen on their own. I usually nap for about 2 hours.

I'm just curious. How didn't I have this kind of experience while I didn't know tha LDing exists?

      Interesting question.

I actually began having lucids my freshman year in the dorms when I would take a nap midday. I had no idea what they were, or that they had a name or anything about lucid dreaming. I just remember thinking they were cool as hell, and so I would try to nap alot in between classes (and sometimes though classes) so that I could have these dreams. Then one day I was watching Vanilla Sky and I looked up the term lucid dreaming online, found you guys, and have been happily learning about lucid dreaming ever since.

So I don't really have an answer to your question, since it happened in the opposite way for me.

I took a nap and nothing happened this time. Maybe because I wasn't sleepy and I just wanted to have a LD. Didn't even fall asleep.

So my new method is to have a LD while napping you should be sleepy and probably turn the TV on to make some noise because it could keep you conscious while drifting to sleep (I turned it off this time). Well that's just my theory.

Forget what I wrote earlier, my theory sucks. I was sleepy today and the TV was left on. I tried to take a nap but I couldn't fall asleep I was focused on the moment of transition but I eventually did fell asleep but didn't even notice it. I slept for about 10 mins and woke up and I was really frustrated.

Never had such a long lucid.

I had another lucid nap today. It wasn't a WILD I just realized it. The thing is they were very short. First one I realized I was dreaming did a RC felt that wonderful feeling (didn't get excited) and I could feel that the dream is ending. The second I again realized I was dreaming did a RC and there was no picture just blackness. I thought maybe I should open my eyes but that opened my real eyes and woke up.

How to make this blackness into a picture?

Hey, just letting you know that I had another LD today while taking a nap. I was in my bathroom and suddenly realized that I'm dreaming and did a RC. Ilooked at myself in the mirror and almost lost my LD I stabilized it by looking at my hands and sitting on my bathtub when I stabilized it I got up and looked myself in the mirror I was in different clothes and that's it I woke up then. They are getting longer. It was very vivid!

Yes...trying too hard is a bad thing. I just lay down and get all cozy and say "ok, time to get lucid!" and then let whatever happens, happen!

Also Scotty I think my longest lucid nap was about 2 hours as well...but over this 2 hour period I was going in and out of lucidity...from sp to HI to lucid and back over and over like ten times. And YES when I finally do wake up...I am COMPLETELY EXHAUSTED. Totally physically drained. Like I really have to roll out of bed. And then I come here and try to write about my experience before I forget about it and my typing is all mucked up b/c I'm sooo foggy still. I wonder why this process is so physically and mentally draining?
