      How "real" can you get?

hey all, I just wanna ask u how real your LD dreams are?

Because I had a LD the other days, and when I becomed aware, everything was as real you can get. My mother was in the same room, so I've gone out just to not look silly if I'm trying something. Outside, I started to look and analyze everything. The sound, colors, objects, smell, everything was "real". Do you guys hav similar experiences? Maybe is because i'm a visual artist?
      this is beyond experience

I have only had two LDs and they were both about 20 seconds long, but in the second one I remember that after I realized I was dreaming everying was very real. I was in my front yard and it was exactly the same.

My LDs range from dark and just barely being there to fully vivid just like you had.

In fact, on many occasions, they are more vivid than real life. Colors are brighter, images are clearer, sensations are more intense. I've often wondered if it is because LDs are occurring without sensory interaction. There must be a some type of limiting factor that governs how mush your eyes can see or your skin can report.

I always welcome these LDs since they are so cool!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Unless your near waking up lucid dreams are always very real. Problem is a lot of lucid dreams you start waking up so they fade some. Or if you have bad recall or go into a false awakening it can get a little fuzzy.

I know from the few WILDs I have had, they can be very real though. I wish I was better at them because your fully lucid and everything looks real. So you really have time to look around.

all my WILDs are extremely vivid, and are about the same as what Seeker was saying,
i remember in one of my WILDs I didnt think it had succeded so i went to turn on the light, I noticed that a particular book that I had been reading was sitting on the floor where i had placed it the night before, after the WILD ended I looked and it was in the exact same place as it was in the LD, and so was some other stuff laying around on my floor

And also, you being a visual artist probabaly helps alot

My first lucid dream ended with me spontaniously noticing that i was dreaming and I noticed some feeling in my leg before i went back into non lucid dream.
My sister told me that lucid dreams never are like real life and when she told me that I thought I had already got to the maximum point of being lucid but im glad to hear there is more to lucid dreaming then I was told.

I think mostly because you are conscious which is a huge ingrediant for Lucid Dreaming that your conscious mind only reverts back to full reality so this reality that your conscious mind is so prone to, assimulates within that Lucid Dream state. It all depends really on the person. You being Artistic in your waking life shows more mental comprehension within your dream state. A creative imagination like that on an artistic level should produce a wonderful dream state.

      YES

I have had many, many real lucid dreams. My lucid dreams are INCREDIBLY real. The backgrounds, effects, people, all is as realistic as you can get... until I tweak it a bit...
