Dream/obe/dom

This is from another post, I wanted to share it with all of you, its an example of dream/obe where the consciousness shifts rapidly through levels...which can be refered to as a dom.. I am so exausted, why does this happen everytime I leave??? This one was interesting, first off during the day around 2, I started to feel real tired and I thought, hmm maybe my mind wishes to travel, so I ended up laying down around 3pm. okay I again felt huge vibrations, holy crap, it was too much the bed started to vibrate as well, I was like ohhh, I could see the room, I didn't want this though, I didn't want to obe, I wanted to go to the inner realms, I said clarity now!! and I began falling, falling,deeper, very fast, it stopped, I floated out , I was in a strange place, a huge building stood below me, I could see through it, I appeared in a bedroom, with a man resting, it was Einstein, "Einstein is that you"? I said to him as he was coming out from under the covers, he just nodded, he looked so young, than I was teleported back to my bed, uhhhhh so frustrating, I was struggling again, also people were after me, they were stabbing me with spears, I knew they came from where I just was, perhaps they didn't like that I met Einstien, I said alowed I am protected in a box, a box appeared but they were still hitting me, and this hurt, bad, I never felt pain like this....?? my consiousness shifted again, I was trying real hard to wake up, my breathing was all screwed up, I was off time, had to be faster to wake up, for my breathing was diminshing....this was scary. finally, I maneged to move, but not awake, there were strangers in my house, in the kitchen, I flew up to them, for some reason I was aftraid to see their faces, the black, I don't know what the heck it was, maybe a bear I don't know was dressed in clothes,he was gonna come after me, so I put on some music and asked him to dance instead, he did and was happy, other things happend hear but Im not sure if i want to say them or if they are okay to say here, since they are very sexual, for some reason every time I leave, I have sexual encounters, and its pretty wild,.. I don't know guys, now I feel that I am so intune with my inner self, its like it tells me when I am ready to go, and than I just do it. and Im really tired of the breathing thing, and fighting my way back to reality as well. one of the times I was trying to wake up from my body, I looked around and their was pure white light all around my house,I could see it through the windows,It was amazing, so I thought, hey I can get up open the door take a quick look outside and try to wake up again, so I did, and of course there were beings on the otherside waiting for me , so they could push through, I slammed the door in their face, and once again tried to wake up. finally success, after about oh 45 minutes Im thinking. and this fear crap has got to go, I don't know what fears may be causing this, but honestly I just want to adventure, with no fighting or difficulties. can you guys help me. oh and while I was inbetween states I really studied the sounds this time, I was laying thinking why do we hear these sounds, and than some astrological answer came to mind, for each sign , we are more enhanced in one sense than others, mine is sound and touch, others may have sight or taste, in fact while I was inbetween states I tried to focus on these ones to try to see what happend and well, I coundn't taste anything, but some visuals started to happen on my ceiling, don't know what they were, hmmm, this is good though, it means my mind is starting to actually think consiously in the subconsious worlds, which can allow me to do further tests and to try new things. I am pleased about that part of this expereince.

lilacsky, I have always been curious and skeptical about OBEs in general having never experienced one myself. How do you know when it is an OBE and not just a lucid dream, false awakening, or 3rd party dream? I'm not being a smartie here, I am truly curious.

well for many people it varies ya know, I think for myself, the differance is of course the clarity of mind that I have, in fact its almost as if my consciousness is whole..when out of body, more so than waking life, if that makes sence, also it is hard to demonstrate to people obe states and the possiblitiy of them, since the mind can create so many things. however to me its more as if I see through reaility,and that reality itself is an illusion, what we feel/taste/hear, etc seems to show us what our reality is, but in this case obe's are more sensitive to thoughts, and I must say that I just know that my cosnciousness is somwhere else, perhaps we don't leave the body..in fact its just a phrase that we do, I think its best to say that we don't leave at all, rather our consicousness becomes whole as if we connect with all consciousness...our focus is enhanced and our thoughts mold and shape the world around us, this I beleive go's to show us that life is simply something we ourselves have built around the astral structure.. a membrane of consciousness which we all redside inside of it, and reality is on the outer edge of it..as we "travel" inward, perhaps the closer we get to the supreme consciouness/energy source.. oh Im rambling here, sorry, ...hehe well its just that its very hard to describe these things to people , because its a shift in the mind, which I have observed enough to realize there are thousands of layers of reality...and at times while out of body, I could actually feel the shifts and the layers..its very hard to elaborate on..I think its somethng everyone should experience in order to grasp the world around them..and their own minds/existance..

I've been doing a lot of reading lately that's been shedding light on OBEs and Astral Projections and how much more common-place they are than expected. I'm like you Seeker in that I've never experiences an OBE like lots of people describe it, my main mode of projection is mentalk projection, in which I can travel by envisioning, and it is much more controlled and powerful. That said, I have come to recently understand that a lot of what goes on at night time in the dream state is closely tied in with astral porjection and OBEs, though not as marked and clearly denoted as described by typical OBE experiences. Come to think of it, sleeping is a very strange thing indeed. It's almost as if during that time, you wink out of this reality and "re-orient" in the reality from which you came. Almost, in a sense, like the property of a wave: it has a crest (waking) and a trough (sleeping) in order for it to exist and propogate. This may sound odd to those objective thinkers who believe we are just a consequence of this material physical universe, but I will challenge those individuals who think such to explain without a hitch WHERE the Mind comes from and WHERE exactly it exists, and HOW exactly it exists. All part of the wonderful journey of exploring what it means "to be"...
