      A wild induced lucid dream?!?!

Normally my LD's come out of nowhere when my dreams take a particukar turn, but last night I decided to try and induce one myself.

I was going to try the WILD method, but I couldn't keep my eyes closed, so I read my book for a bit.

Sadly I then fell asleep and woke up this morning.

However, I knew I could lay in a bit longer if I tried, so I began the WILD method with the duvet over my head to block out the light.

I was quite startled by the vibrations and stuff, but try as I might I had visions, vibration, but I was too tense to fall asleep again.

I tried this 4 times, but gave it up and just flopped down and closed my eyes.

I promptly fell asleep, and had four brief LD's in a row.

They were very short and very hard to control however...

D'you think these were WILDs, or did I go lucid becuase I'd just been concrentrating so much? Did I some how prepare my mind for the dreams?

When you guys have WILDs, how long do you spend before you fall asleep?

They probably weren't WILDs, a WILD dream is usually fairly easy to control, once you've mastered the technique enough to make it to the dream. You probably had the lucids because you were very focused on the idea of having a lucid dream. For example, if I spend an entire day doing reality checks every ten minutes, and then try two or three induction techniques that night, I'm almost guarunteed to have multiple LD's that night, whether or not the RC's and induction techniques worked, simply because my mindset really wants the lucid dream.

You were VERY close to WILDing though, if you'd made it through vibrations and the HI (Hypnotic Imagery) so don't give up on the technique.

As you felt those vibrations latency, I would guess you were very close to entering into a dream.
And because you did fall asleep I agree with Tsen. They were Dream intiated Lucid dreams (DILDS)
A WILD you go directly into a awareness state of dreaming.
Next time try not to get startled by the vibrations and just think to yourself that it is part of the technique.
